Greetings massive. This is a great post. I like how you highlighted your points which you
supported with real scenarios. Not all Registered Nurses will indeed delegate the clinical
practices to the enrolled nurses. However, indeed, the Registered nurse usually acts as team
leaders with AIN and EEN within the mixed surgical ward (Bauer & Bodenheimer, 2017). In
that case, my opinion is that there is supposed to be a senior nurse in the shift to keep things in
check. As you have stated, it true there might be several challenges in the absence of a senior
nurse
I also like your chosen scenario. It is always a life-threatening in case a doctor forgets a
single thing. However, it’s true if the recognition of the clinical symptoms are delayed then can
lead to death. Accordingly, I can also say that national safety and quality health service standards
usually protects the public from harm in conjunction with improving the quality of health service
provision. In that scenario, communicating for safety standard could also have helped
(Zaccagnini & Pechacek, 2019). However, I know EN can administer medicines if he/she does
not have a notation.
I concur with you about the medication administration. Indeed medication has to be
administered for the right reason, right patient, right drugs, right means, right dose, right time,
right intention, proper documentation, and finally a right response. I would like to answer your
question on the strategies that I would use or recommend while working in challenging
situations. The first strategy is for you to be calm by maintaining a cordial relationship with
everyone. Secondly, seek a piece of immediate advice from experienced personnel (Cherry &
Jacob, 2016). Having a cordial relationship will enable the qualified people to give you some

guidance with crucial career-boosting tips. Lastly, I would say, don't be afraid to take risks when
facing challenging situations.
Hypoglycemia is indeed life-threatening and always requires urgent action to be taken. In
addition to dizziness and blurred vision, the other symptoms are sweating, shaking, and
headache. It usually results from drinking alcohol, too much insulin, and missing meals. In that
case, the blood glucose level of the patient should have been checked and or give an injection of
glucagon.
I can also admit that it is essential to attend the buzzer since some patients might be
unable to walk or talk. As an illustration, this is the only way the patient can request the nurse’s
attention when he/she is away (Rebeiro, Evans, Edward & Chapman, 2017). Therefore, I would
also recommend that despite the busy schedule, the nurses should not ignore the buzzer alarming
of the patient. This is because it’s the only way patients can communicate either to request
something or be attended to.
