Question 1
Discussing priority problem for Mr Ng
cold and cough: due to this issue Mr Ng haven't sleep full night. He is complaining that he is
suffering from major coughing. As it is observed that cold and cough is the major symptoms of
covid 19.
Chest pain: Mr Ng has also complaint that he is having severe pain in right chest which is
connected with inspiration. If it is not cured at right time than it can lead to respiratory issues.

Nursing assessment to conduct on MR Ng.
Physical examination: Mr Ng should have gone through physical examination daily to check that
how they are feeling. It can be done by asking him if he having any problem. Checking his
temperature and heart rate on daily basis.
Nursing diagnosis: it is very important because he is having background of hypertension and
along with that he is also suffering from hyperlipidaemia (Kua, Mak & Lee, (2019)). Nursing
diagnosis will be helpful in finding out any issue if it has occurred or any changes in the body of
Me. Ng.

Nursing inventions which should be included in order to reduce risk.
Active listening:
It is very important and nurse should listen to their patients very carefully. It is essential because
it is helpful to know what your patient is feeling. It also enhances trust and believe of patients on
nurses. If nurse will listen to patient then only she will come to know about his or her condition.
Active listening is also the part of effective communication.
Prevent fall:
it is also vital and nurses should take care of that for all the patients. It is also noticed that some
patient have high risk as compare to others. Nurses should ensure that they take care of their
patients so that they does not hit their deck. This can be prevented by using call bell on every
bed.
Control pain:

Pain is the problem which is suffered by many patients. There are many situation in which
patient have to go through pain like broken bones, surgeries etc and it takes time to get repair in
bed. So nurses should be frequently work on controlling pain.

Effects which acute pain can have on respiratory.
Acute pain can affect respiration by increasing frequency, volume and flow. Issue in respiratory
system can cause breathing related issue. In covid 19 patient faces breathing issues and acute
pain can even increase respiratory related problems.
Acute pain can also cause respiratory dysfunction causing secretion due to reluctance to cough. If
respiratory will not function properly than it will cause various other issue and that can cause
hurdle in patient's recovery.

Nursing intervention which helps in alleviate anxiety faced by Mr Ng.
Breathing exercise:
breathing exercise is one of the most simplest and easy way through which patient can manage
anxiety. Anxiety is that situation in which patient feel fear and also have breathing issues. So
breathing exercise will help patient to feel good and relaxed.
Soothing music:
Music is considered as therapy. If patient will listen to music then it will be helpful for him in
order to decrease anxiety. By listening to music patient will feel good and positive (Gallagher,
Lagman & Rybicki (2018)).
