INTRODUCTION
Nursing services is defined as part of total health organization that aims to satisfy the
patient's needs in relation to nursing. In this, the nurse works with the members of allied
disciples like medical social service, dietetics, pharmacy etc. The person who wants to become a
good nurse should have enough skills and abilities in filed of nursing and providing health care
services to patients. The current report cover a case study of Robert Snider who is 68 years old
male has been admitted to the medical ward after being diagnosed with community acquired
right middle lobe pneumonia (Ramkisson, & Hodgson, 2019). This person lives alone and now
retired after working whole adult life in a coal mine. The medical history involves a diagnosis of
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. For this it needs nursing care planning and evaluation of
care that can help to provide better better quality of services. As all knows patients are required
to get caring services which can help to bring the improvements in their health. For this, medical
wards are having in hospitals where nurses understand the problem of patients and provide them

medical care there various components which should be use by nurse in order to providing the
good health by reducing the diseases (Aktas, Uğur & Orak, 2020). The aspects which are used by
nursing to provide the best care that are as:
Promotion and facilitation of adequate oxygenation is the main aspects in nursing
industry that promote the healthy ventilation to the patients. For patients who face the problem of
shortness of breath exacerbated on minimal exertion is required to get adequate amount of
oxygenation. The problem of oxygenation face by individual as they started to take longer breath
where prop-er oxygenation is required to provide by medical members. As Robert facing the
problem in taking breath is need to get proper oxygenation (Valdés and et.al., 2020). After
assessing the nursing abilities it has defined that nurses should understand the Robert or patient
position, create the expectoration of secretions and should provide oxygen therapy. This therapy
will help to take the breath and also helps to doing some exercise. Therefore, there is need to
promote the oxygenation services in nursing course which develop the understand and keep
healthy person. This can bring the changes in people health and maintain the good performance.
Provision of general nursing care

director of nursing services, staffing schedules, auxiliary nursing staff, qualification and
professional nursing staff that are being used to know the problem of patients and doing the care
accordingly. As Robert is feeling overtired, low energy, and string desire to sleep due to fatigue

of nursing care and providing good care to patients diseases can be reduced. To have good skills
and completing education in nursing each task can be completed that make healthy the person.
According to provision, hospitals should maintain nursing staff to provide nursing care for needs

Prevention of possible hospital acquired complications
Prevention of possible hospital acquired complications means nurses should be focuses
on different services that can help to provide the best care to their patients. As Robert is facing
with problem of COPD where nurses should guide their patients to wash their hands, create
infection control policy, provide infection control education, using gloves, and prevention
patients from walking barefoot. This can help to solve the problem of Robert in context to Blood
pressure and SaO2. The nurse should be follow all guidelines and regulations that can help to
save from diseases. The another tool that should be use by staff is Contagions that can help to
identify infection asap. This helps to take immediately test in relation to respiratory issues then
get the optimum solution. Therefore, by focusing on prevention regulation complications can be
reduced (Berry, Wakefield, Street & Considine, 2020).
Promotion of adequate hydration and nutrition
Promotion of adequate hydration and nutrition is another aspect which means to maintain
the proper equipment and tolls for providing adequate hydration and nutrition which can help to
save the people from diseases. Nutrition is basic need for human being life that can help in
promoting disease prevention. These processes have strong influence on nutritional status that
depends on nutritional intake and fluid intake. The nurses who works in the hospital should be
promote the hydration as sometime people does not eat and drink properly. This has created the
problem for people's health as they started to feel lazy, headache, eye pain and others. It has been
seen that sometimes people feels dehydration due lack of water, glucose in their body. The
nurses should care of their patients by guiding to in-taking proper water and energy that make
them healthy and safe. Robert Snider smoke a lot that's why it faced the problem of COPD
which needs to be solve. The nurse care properly by promoting the adequate hydration and
nutrition. Thus, in health care nurse promotes hydration and nutrition by getting adequate
amount of nutritional food and drink (Schuster and et.al., 2020).

to not mental stress that create the problems in running the healthy life. The healthcare
professional is responsible for all activities and providing the professional care to their patients
which can help to maintain healthy and safe from diseases. The nurse should be follow this
provision and develop a health care team for the purpose of generating emotional and

psychological support to Robert Snider. Herein, patients are advised to get medication, smoking
cessation, respiratory hygiene, follow up appointment, weight reduction, medical assistance and
community support services which develop the health of patients and provide them good life. BY
doing medications and respiratory hygiene Robert can fight with its COPD disease which make
healthy (Miranda and et.al., 2020).
Education and Discharge planning
Education and discharge planning means there should be proper training of nurses where
it can formulate planning for succinct discharge. In medical and healthcare individual should
have proper knowledge and training which can help to manage all problem properly and increase
the performance. Discharge planning an an interdisciplinary approach to continuity of care and
process that identify, assess, setting goals, planning, coordination, and evaluation of performance
which can help to develop the good performance. In hospitals nurses should have proper
educated and trained who could provide good health to their patients. As Robert Snider is facing
the problem of hypertension where it smoke 20 cigarettes per day that might be cause of death.
While admitted in medical ward nurse should be take care of such person by providing the full
nursing services and maintaining the good health (Kang and et.al., 2020).
Therefore, from the all above defined provisions of health care planning and evaluation it
can be explained that medical team and nurses should focuses on all caring services, proper
oxygenation, hydration, nutrition and proper medication and others which can help to reduce the
problems and maintaining good health (Morgan, 2020).
