1NURSING
All over the world the nurse practioners are serving as patient’s lifeline otherwise many
patients would struggle to access care. This has been my motivation in seeking the nurse degree
in addition to inspiration from Florence Nightingale. I feel motivated imagining myself
assessing, diagnosing, and even treating medical conditions independently. I perceive the
profession of nursing as intellectual challenge in addition to the beautiful ability of saving life. I
wanted to seek the nurse graduate program so that I can be one the best nurses in the field and I
have attended my call.
Currently, I am planning for post graduation in nursing so that I can get become real
nurse and get specialisation in certain nursing field that is oncology or mental health nursing as
both are my areas of interest. Holding the MSN degree will give me the opportunity to become a
nurse educator and advance my career. It will help me fulfil my dream of playing a role in the
continuous care of entire global communities.
Further, I want to work towards a doctorate degree to achieve P.hD, which is possible if I
am a post graduate in nursing. I can be one of the best in the field. It will give me far more career
advancement opportunities. The other rationale for this decision is the goal to move into
administrative role after MSN in future and work with increased autonomy and flexibility
(Tipton et al., 2016).
On successfully executing may career plan, I can gain confidence in my own field and
required skills. Therefore, I can work with positive attitude about myself and earn more
prospects.
