POST 1
Nursing ethics shares many principles along with medical ethics like respect for autonomy,
non-maleficence and beneficence. In these, nursing can be differentiated on the basis of
relationships, human dignity and collaborative (Ward, 2014). There are some situations which are
commonly faced by nurses. First one is obtaining informed consent where the patient is injured;
nurses should be take informed consent from that person before offering care services. It has a right
of the service users to deny consuming any kind of medical services (Masters, 2015). Most of the
time, patients have not provided the complete and accurate information about their diseases. It has
created issue for the nurses at the time of treating the illness. On the other hand, at the time of
introducing the advance directive such as admission or during visit of patient, it has become
important that he should be respected and documented by medical professionals (Auerbach and
et.al., 2015). But many of the time, this thing has not followed in the hospitals and it has affected
patient autonomy.

A patient refused to take injections and in this regards, I wrote in the chart that patient has
refused to take injections. On this situation, supervisor has charged from me regarding preparing
wrong medical records because that service user has stated that he did not refuse to take injection
and another nurse gave him that. By this wrong statement of patient, I have terminated from the
hospital. The thoughts of ethics issues face by nursing are too good and they have to trustful with
the patients. But in practical way, many of the time, they have told lie to families or hide the
information from them where they have already know that patient is at the dying stage (Huston,

2013).
POST 2
Nursing profession is very challenging because they have to deal with various issues all the
time. In most of the cases, there is a lack of universal legislations that unable to address them at
national, international and organizational level (Ward, 2014). Improper staffing by the hospital and
increase responsibilities have caused problematic situation for nurses. Conflicts have also faced by
the nurses at workplace that can be raised between nurses and their co-workers, patients etc. Along
with this, many of the times, nurses have unable to meet the satisfaction of the service users and it
has decreased the number of visitors in care homes (Chang and Daly, 2015). They have also faced
hazards and insecurity in job while treating the patients. Along with this, wrong information given
by users, unable to maintain confidentiality by the nurses, ethical issues between team members etc
some issues in nursing practice that have commonly face by nurses (Chism, 2015). So these are
some common problems in the nursing professions.

I have been a nurse for 40 years in ICU and for me, the changing aspect of nursing was
challenging for me to deal with the situations and issues. With the time, developments of new
technology and new skilled meds have affected the working environment. Due to this, we have lost
control over work environment and also on voice. We all roll our eyes when we become aware of
the next trend in health care because this will replaced the existing trends in health care ( Blair and
Jansen, 2015).
By considering the patient point of view, it become hurts and affect patient psychologically.

The result of this, it has affected the nurse and patient relationships. Cares are understaffed,
underpaid and overworked. They have needed help to solve their personal issues (Levett-Jones,
Gersbach, Arthur and Roche, 2011).
