NURSING 1
At the time of my internship, I have to lead my team with all my knowledge and
guidance. In this period of time, I faced lot of challenges but there is one incident that changes
my point of view towards the nursing. This incident also teaches me about the duties and
responsibilities of a nurse. During the internship, there are a lot of patients admitted in the
hospital in which I am working as an intern. According to my responsibilities, I have to book all
appointments, take care of patients and also take care of team members those came for classes or
training. One day, my team members get the opportunity to watch the patients and the tools those
are used to take care of patients. This is my responsibility to supervise the team members so that
they did not face any challenge and to reduce the risk of miss-happening events. At that time, a
junior team member uses the blood bottle for experiment to check the blood group but that is the
last bottle of B+ group which is highly required for the patient. The doctors and the staff
members get disappointed from me just because of my irresponsibility. Apart from it, the whole
teams have to survive with this challenge because it is too difficult for doctors and the staff to
found out the other bottle of blood B+. That was a moment that I realized the responsibilities of a
nurse and after this incident, I am always try to focus on my duties without any carelessness.
