Women Art Madness
The essay of the book provided me with an insight about the feminism related to overcoming
mental health and the interpretation of art through it. Mental illness van be overcome with the
expression of art, like in case of Bobby Baker who is a renowned performing artist in UK who
creates drawing related to feminism and overcoming the gender stereotypes. It has come to my
observation, over the years the society have developed a notion that the bad things happening to
a woman is her fault. The author expressed after she recovered people kept asking her why dod
you get ill? Whose fault is it? As if, women have the control over the surrounding and accidental
inducements. Her pictures show the image of a woman expressing her agony under the pressure
of the society. In every aspect of life, dedication, profession and domestic environment, the
women as judged based on their gender and considered weak. What people fail to understand is
that the power of endurance, which is more prevalent in women than men. I value these
ideologies and put my best foot forward to overcome gender bias and hindrances and provide
best of the professional duty.
Having it out with melancholy
Nurses have to deal with constant sorrow of the patients and keep their emotions in check and
provide better health outcomes. The poem helped me realize my duties better as nurse and
always rely on the ethical policies of health outcomes given to patients. numerous patients have
to be checked by us every day and each person has a different illness. It is important to have a
state detached emotion to provide proper care. We cannot linger on the Nurses cannot linger on
emotional attachments which will hamper their productivity as a Healthcare service provider.

which have different requirements. It is all the important for me to remember that nurses have to
make an individual Bond with the patient and keep them motivated to accept their treatment. It is
an inventory exhausting fashion but I sometimes feel I will not be able to perform might ask
tomorrow. It is disappointing when my mistake is pointed out and I have to again reconsider and
improve my clinical practice. We have to what day and night provide untainted care to the
patients. Intense feel lonely when I am provided the burden but I motivate myself for my

which I have to be prepared at all times and if I am hung over on the previous incident of then I
will not be able to provide my best.
Whither Thou Goest
It is very crucial when we are dealing with end of life situations when we know and understand
the patient's health will not improve like in case of comatose. We still have to provide proper
care as much as we could like in case of the story within the ghost. As I have mentioned earlier
it is very difficult to deal with patients who are facing end of life situations both for their families
and for them. We have to provide care to the patient help the family members overcome their
grief and move on to the next patient as per Duty. We are professionally bound to provide
emotional support and mental support to the patients. I aspire to become the kind of nurse who is
able to provide emotional support and physical support both. Nevertheless, it is also important to
be in tough it your human self and check in on your patients and not treat them, like numbers and
facts and objects to be served. Duty comes first but morality, ethics and empathy is also a part of
nursing. It is very difficult for a healthcare professional to discover that the patient they have
been putting their hard work to save did not receive the intended outcome. It is disheartening to
announce to the family that their peer had a major negative outcome. In the story the healthcare

Homeless and art
Poverty and hunger are main driving factors that shape the life on an individual. The paper I
learned that the sorrow of the homeless and their struggles can be overcome with the expression
of art. Art has been parallel with the human civilization as a method of expression of inner
thoughts, imaginations and overcoming the emotions. The paper successfully showed that
incorporation of the homeless populous helps obtaining better outcome and “art occupations
provide a starting point for participation in community and a positive experience that encourages
the construction of new identities, routines and roles. Furthermore, art provides an alternative
from the problems associated with homelessness, mental health and substance abuse and allows
for public recognition and social inclusion.” I believe along with the authors that it is important
to provide every one equal opportunities for the development of life and growth in general.
Talent should always be considered before the background in order to achieve the best the
society has to offer. The homeless will find a new direction; obtain a better life for themselves
along with the expression of their art mixed with emotions. Equal distribution of economic
output will help them lead better lives and overcome poverty. If I draw example of musicians,
actors and dancers, they all express their art and make money out of it, most of them started as a
poverty stricken individual believing in them. They mixture of art and marketing business can

Video reflection
The beginning of the video provided me a good idea to understand the meaning of the
profession, “to provide care and nurture”, but the importance of the job is so much more. Nurses
are looked down upon as the general people feel nurses are not much educated. This is not true at
all. As a nurse, myself I had gone through rigorous academic training and education and the
equal sense of responsibility as a doctor. The video also pointed out that the only place a nurse’s
work in are only hospitals but they do not know that there are other sectors which require nursing
assistance. I noticed nursing is also required in administration. As a nurse I am stereotyped as a
nurse with respect to my uniform. It is shocking to see that the people think the only job is to
take care of people but it is so much more to the story. The media representation of the
profession is not properly carried out which has given room for the development of stereotypes.
It is very disheartening as a nurse myself to see that over sexualizations of the profession which
makes the general population feel a sort of gender bias when it comes to nursing. They think it is
necessarily a woman’s job and men who are nurses are looked down upon. Another aspect which
never occurred to me before the video was the discrimination of homosexual individuals who are
discriminated and denied to perform their duties due their gender preference.
