Nursing
Profession
 The profession as a nurse always seek for the
care of those in need.
 The primary focus of nursing lies as providing
care for speed recovery of health.
 The duties in a nursing profession can vary
from taking decision in short medication or
acute treatments to provision of inoculations
when needed.
 The nurses opting the profession may have to
perform as several roles such as
(nursingworld.org, 2020):
• Specialists in prescribning medicines
• Specialist in performing the role as a midwives
• Specialist in providing anesthesia
• Specialist in taking care of variety of problems
regarding the psychological and mental health.

Short Term Nursing Goals
 Passing the Bachelors of Nursing from
registered Nursing School with high grades
 Get posted at any well paying position or
any governmental Institution
 Get to practice at reputed Institutions as a
registered Nurse during my internship
phases.

Long Term Nursing Goals
 Gain experience as a registered Nurse
under any reputed institution.
 Undertaking of Masters in Nursing in
long run after gaining experience of five
years of Nursing profession.

Steps taken to meet professional
Goal
 I have tried being ethically modest during all my
nursing practices.
 Never tried to breach the policies of the
institute where I have graduated from.
 I have always tried maintaining my attendance
properly.
 I have always tried to be there whenever
my colleagues felt my need.
 Moreover I have sacrified my personal life in
order to serve for the needy.

Milestone of the Goal
 Further I would sincerely like to complete my
Masters of nursing.
 Followed by the completion of Masters I would
like to search for new theories, which can be
beneficial for others while serving as a
healthcare professional.
 Ultimately I would definitely like to opt for
opening an Organization where I can provide
help to those in need at lower cost.

Using of Strengths to meet
the Goal
 I feel that in order to achieve my goals my
strengths will play immense role, which are:
• Staying focused while performing my work.
• Having the ability to sacrifice my personal
lifestyle to serve for my profession.
• Have good interactive capabilities, which will
help in building good inter[personal relationship
with the clients.

Challenges in the Profession
 Understanding and coping with the religious
and spiritual beliefs of the client.
 Understanding the need of the client.
 Saying no to the unethical practices, even if
any supervisor forces to do so.
 Non implementation of unscholarly practices,
even if it had benefitted in our personal life.
 Prioritizing the policies of the Institution I will
be working in or the Provisions of Nursing.

Overcoming the Challenges
 In order to overcome the said challenges which I
had faced I took the following steps:
• Understood the spirituality of most religions.
• Learnt the client needs thoroughly.
• Staying away from those who usually force doing
unethical practices.
• Even if faced any unethical practice, I cutted
out my name of the project or have tried
informing the Boards of Nursing.
• Learnt the policies of nursing as well as the
policies of the organization in order to prioritize
them orderly.
