Introduction
The book dedicated to the Nursing and its stories focuses on the organizational
interests of the nursing employees. It takes into account various associations and
organizations that are dedicated to the welfare of the nursing profession such as the National
League for Nursing and similar organizations and social communities. It also involves the
evolution of the nursing profession. It mainly focuses on the strategies that can be
incorporated to promote the work and the activities that can be adapted to have a sustainable
work-life in the profession (Sullivan, 2013). This report focuses on the leadership qualities
that must be intervened and are essential for the nurses. It also suggests the planning
measures to provide them with a sustainable environment and workplace.

In a survey conducted in Canada in the year 2003 by the association of Nurses in
Ontario, it was recorded that with collaboration and funding they have started creating a
sustainable work environment for nurses in the healthcare organizations. Nurses play a vital
role in achieving the organizational goals of high productivity, high-quality recovery and
treatment and timely access to health. However, several challenges have been faced by the
organization to recruit and train the nurses and the workforce and the reason that has been
suggested is the poor work environment provided to the nursing staff (Registered Nurses’
Association of Ontario, 2013).
A healthy work environment is needed for nurses which are complex and have lots of
dimensions that comprise numerous components and relationships among the components. A
comprehensive model is required to effectively guide the progress, development, and
implementation organized and systematic approach which will enhance the work

nursing staff are defined as a practice or setting which will maximize or improve the health
and wellbeing of the nurses both emotionally and mentally which will result in quality patient
care and deliverables as well as organizational growth. It helps improving supportive and
evident decision-making skills. It made nurses about the capabilities they hold within
themselves which helps in shaping the care they proved to the patient such as resilience,
flexibility, emotional intelligence and skillful expertise (Stephens, 2017).
