Answer to Question A
Nursing Quality Indicators are considered to be the evidence related measures for
understanding the quality of the treatment delivered to patients in the hospitals. These are highly
standardized in nature and used in evaluation of the care quality in the United States market. It
helps in providing information regarding the process, structure as well as outcome which helps in
creating positive relation between satisfaction of the members of family and safety of patients.
Through this, the different health care centers will be receiving the information regarding current
issues in the nursing care (Abdelmowla et al., 2017).
In such scenario, the hospital members will be engaging themselves in gathering
essential data for understanding indicators such as number and kind of diseases, turnover of the
nursing, analyzing level of complications which will be allowing the nurses in identifying severe
issues impacting care provided to patients. In the respective aspect, management majorly ignored
issues like pressure kind of injury on back of patients or usage of restrain. These are the different
aspects which force administrators in hospital for facing such issues.
Answer to Question B
With the help of data gathering which include incidence of the pressure ulcers, or the
prevalence of restraints, it will be beneficial for the hospitals in identifying magnitude of the
issue and creating improvement plan. The different data from the nursing quality indicators will
be capable of serving as measuring scale when the hospital decides for incorporating the
improvement related plan. For instance- Date of the HAPUs will be beneficial for hospitals for
identifying individuals at risk for the hospitals (Stolt & Suhonen, 2019). There should be

different improvement plans which are new will be incorporated as well as evaluated on the basis
of the occurrence of the different events on the specific indicator. The efficient plans on
improvement will be helping in improving the patient satisfaction rate and increase the level of
revenues through decreasing costs for treating adverse reactions towards hospitalization.
Answer to Question C
In the respective scenario, Jewish confused patient who was supposed to eat only kosher
food was fed with pork that had regular plan of diet. When the daughter of the respective patient
raised the issue with member of the hospital, the staff immediately commented: “half a Pork
cutlet never killed anyone”. From the point view of the staff, the issue was not so big and
according to me, I think the staff did not think it as the mistake as there was no medical
negligence.
For improving such aspects, I feel that there should be a team of experienced members
who are required to be consulted and if I was in the place of the nursing department, there would
have been primary physician, staff nurse, chaplain and certified students included in incident. All
the members could have been providing with various information as per their knowledge
(Barbosa et al., 2017). The staff nurse could provide their perspective on not understanding the
problem and it helped in improving the effectiveness.
Lastly, I would be focusing on the information gathering technique for preventing the
mistake in an efficient manner and the plan for improvement would be the most effective aspect
which needs to be helping in preventing such scenarios in future. Education on the cultural
sensitivity can be termed as the part of the plan that will be suitable for gaining competitiveness
(de Freitas Grassi et al., 2017).
