mental health acute ward and experience shared while dealing with the patient with Alzheimer's
patient (Botha and Frost, 2020).
Description
In the description section of the Gibbs model, I want to share some of the descriptions regards
with my work. I used to work within the mental health acute ward where several patients usually
face different types of mental issues. In addition, they have challenging behavior that creates
difficulty to provide the proper support and care. Therefore, I used to work with mental health
patients such as patients who are from older age are dealing with Alzheimer's. However, I used
to provide various treatments and management to Alzheimer's patient and it is very difficult to
manage their day-to-day activity because sometimes the aggressive behavior can lead to creating
the condition of harm. The mentally ill patients fight with their thoughts and overthinking aspect
that generates the behavior which is aggressive for some time. I also care for various a patient
who is facing issues of bipolar disorder. In this, it is difficult to manage Alzheimer's patient due
to sudden changes in the personality and it is difficult to analyze one personality at one time
(Higgins and et. al., 2018).
Feeling
My feeling when I working within the ward where several patients who are dealing with
mental disorders are used to be treated is very complex and thoughtful. In addition, I usually
think about the people's lives that they have to deal with in their day-to-day activities. Moreover,
they require all-time assistance towards their working or any task that they used to perform. I
also analyze that the people in such conditions are usually facing various issues such as faces
health inequalities, discrimination due to their disability, and many more. Sometimes, I get
disturbed due to the overthinking which arises for the patient who is dealing with the complex
