INTRODUCTION
Person centred approach in context of health and social care setting is basically a way of
thinking as well as doing things. It is the approach where medical staff involves an individual
taking the health and social care services in planning, developing and monitoring care. Person
centred approach is the approach which provides medical professional an ease in meeting the
needs as well as expectation of service user (Long, 2018).

Description : After the completion of my primary as well as secondary education, as I have
interest in the nursing I have enrolled my self for the same course. During the course I have
learned about the good nursing practices. I came across different concepts and models which has
completed change my view about the nursing field. In addition to this, I have learned about the
models as well as approach which can be implemented in order to improve quality of care in
health and social care setting. During the module, I have also come to know about the roles as
well as responsibilities of registered nurse (Dotevall, Winberg and Rosengren, 2018.). During
the module, My teacher has also taught me about the different regulations as well as laws which
governs health care practices. During The module our teacher has taught us about the different
hypothesis related to nursing such as Roper logan Tiemey model and levett Jones clinical
reasoning cycle. During the lecture I came to know about the way levett Jones clinical reasoning
cycle could be utilised for identification of health care priorities. I have also been taught about
the person centred approach and benefit of the same. I have been taught about the way I can
deliver quality care as well as services to service user by utilising the person centred approach.
Feelings: As before enrolling myself for the nursing course I had only little knowledge about the
field, therefore I was very much existed to learn about nursing practice. On the first day of my

well as contemporary role of nursing I felt little more excited. There were few situations where I

that personal centric approach can be helpful in context of eliminating the chances of medical
errors (Ellis, 2019.). After getting the knowledge about nursing practices, I felt that nurses plays
crucial role in providing the quality care as well as good experience as well as high level of
satisfaction to service users. Overall I feel very good while learning about the standard nursing
practices in health and social care setting.
Evaluations: During the module teacher has asked to make group discussion related to the
selection of the best model in order to improve self practice as a nurse in health as well as social
carte setting it is the activity which I found useful, as through this task gained the detail
information about the standard nursing practices in health and social care setting. The things
which I felt wrong is that during the discussion every team member of mine was speaking so
loud that I face difficulty in sharing my views about the model which can be utilised for
improving nursing practices (Kaakinen, Steele and Robinson, 2018). During the group
discussion , as I did not get the chance to speak I felt littler angry. Few chances which I get to
share my opinions about the model which can be utilised for improving the nursing practices I
provided the advantages as well as disadvantages of different approach which has supported my
team members in measuring the effectiveness of different models as well as hypothesis. I have
evaluated by attending the lecture I have developed reasoning skills which will be helpful for me
in context of continuing my career in nursing field.
