Statement of Philosophy
Record your statements of philosophy of Nursing and of personal philosophy. Explain how these
are reflected the values, vision, and personal interests that you recorded in your “My Vision and
Interests” tool.
As I have taken the path of service to all the helpless and weak people I will be honest with my
profession. I commit myself to be e a better person and serve my patients at my best. I will gain
knowledge every day and apply those to my service and decisions (Mackintosh-Franklin, 2016). I
shall guide all my fellow nurses in such a way that they also can find the meaning of their passion
to provide best care to the patients. My personal philosophy is to take care of each patient without
any biasness but compassion and empathy so that I can be a representative of God to them
(Squires et al., 2017).
Use of Assessment Tools to Formulate Goals
Clearly utilize information from the Assessment Tools as the basis for formulating your goals.
Develop a list of prioritized goals based on your assessments. Goals must be stated in
measurable terms, i.e., how can you tell you have accomplished that goal? Identify dates for
accomplishing each goal.
I have been pursuing my graduation in the nursing course which will be completed within few
months. After that I have a goal to become a nurse leader so that I can guide others to be efficient
in caregiving. I will be working to grow my competency every day and understand my specialty so
that I can do my best of my knowledge for providing care (Dahnke & Dreher, 2015). I want to join
nursing organization so that I can learn more and expand my knowledge. I believe in my goal
which is attainable and important for me as well as for the better of the others in this society.
Specific Strategies
Identify specific strategies for accomplishing your goals. Give specific examples for
accomplishing your goals, including resources and major intermediate steps.
For achieving goal, setting specific strategies are important. I shall be asking for assistance from
the mentors who will support me. I shall get along with my peers who are pursuing the same
course, can contribute in developing my professional abilities (Grace et al., 2016). I will be
discussing my inner abilities and weaknesses with my fellow workers so that they can assist me to
overcome those weaknesses. I will be attending different nursing conferences and joy nursing
organization so that I can continue my education as nurse. Thus I will be able to contribute my

knowledge both practical and academic for nursing science.
Priority of Goals

As mentioned before I feel girls are important for the personal development. Setting goals will
help me to develop my skills and provide good care to my patients. Achieving goals can help me
to face challenges in different time and different situation (Schmidt & Brown, 2016). Therefore I
will be increasing my learning as a nurse. Setting goals will be helping me to become a guide
nurse to the fellow workers and then I can establish my own nursing home within 20 years from
now. As giving care is my passion I will be achieving all my goals within sets time. By then I shall
be matured and tenured enough to handle any type of difficulties in nursing process. This will be
helping me in staying on the path of success and accomplish my desire in the future.
