I am Priti Saldi and I have been studying nursing. I have high school diploma, diploma in
hospitality management and a bachelor degree in nursing as well. I have experience in the
customer service in two different companies and handled a range of tasks regarding the job role.
Cash handling, performance reviewing, occupational health and safety regulations, staff training
and mainly customer confidence development with the organosations. Thus, I have worked in
different job role and also experience as well. However, as a nurse I have worked in different
hospital facilities s well. In the hospital facilities I worked as personal care specialist especially
hygiene, toilet, social and emotional support providence to the patients, domestic assistance,
nutrition and meal management of the patients, support the patients for safe environment
development, patient observation, proper relationship development with the patients and vital
sign checking of the patient. Moreover, practicing practical care related processes such as
venepuncture, drain removal, wound care under supervision and others. Thus, I can state that I
have different kind of experiences in the customer support providence as well professional care
providence to the patients. I have worked in the aged care facilities mainly which focuses on the
person centred care providence.
Based on the experience and the job roles I have handled I can feel that I can support the
aged patients with higher priority. I can understand and help the aged people in daily life
supports and care for these people as well. My objective is to develop career and also
employment success with your organisation focusing on the nursing care and aged care support.
On the other hand, I am a dedicated, reliable, cooperative team member and a well-organised
person with range of experience and qualifications to offer to your organisation. Other than
experience and qualification I have skills as well for the aged care and also daily support to the

placements I can state that I can provide proper support to your organisational work force. On
the other hand, I can also mark that I can help other staffs of the organisation in terms of training
in specialised works with my experience and also develop proper team work to provide proper
care to the patients. Other than all these, I can support the customers as I have experience in the
customer support job role. Thus, I can also state that I have proper professional skills to be a staff
in the aged care facility of your organisation. As I have experience and qualification in both
clinical care process as well as in the customer support facility, I can support your organisational
workforce in both ways. I can also provide the homecare support to the patient. Hence, I can
provide support in your home care facilities as a nursing staff. However, as I have experience in
rostered duties, I can work in any shift timings as well.

Week 1:
The class on the registered nursing standards and nursing ethics was helpful. This course
notes provided to me was properly descripting the importance and the processes maintain these
factors. The importance of the codes and the standards were properly mentioned in the course
note. I have noted all the information from the notes and it effectively helped me in developing
knowledge regarding the quality improvement knowledge of the care competence build up.
The note is development and also learning from the notes were not that much easy for
me. However, I managed the reading and learning factor and developed the knowledge regarding
the nursing competence properly.
Week 2:
Job advertisement analysis and also responding to the job roles are the factors which has
been taught in this module. The factor of the learning and also analysing skill development is one
of the most important in the proper competence build up. On the other hand, reflecting on the
incidents and also developing journals regarding experiences or incidents would be effective in
the process of the employer engagement. This process will help me in providing evidence to the
employer and let the employer analyse my skills in the sector.
Hence, the analysis and the reflective skill development is also important and effective
for the future job seeking.
Week 3:
The factor of the self management is the focus of this module which effectively focused
on the transition of the graduate nurses to the career or job role management factors. I have

found this class effective as it helped in the knowledge about the STAR techniques that is
situation, task, action and result based structured answers for the structured interview question
answers for the job seekers. Moreover, this module also helped me in the knowledge
development regarding the stress management and reduction of the negative factors affecting the
future career and other aspects of life.
This module is effectively helping me in the knowledge development regarding the
process of the work management as well as stress management factors.
Week 4:
This module is helpful regarding the effective skills development for the team work and
decision making for the health care job role. As a nurse I should be able to take decisions
regarding the health care of patient. Moreover, the collaboration and communication skills for
the team work and improved care delivery should also be considered and developed by me as
well. Hence, I can also find that the effective learning, training and reflecting will be helpful for
the improvement in the skill development factor.
I have learnt an effective factor for the improvement in the team work competence and
also effective care delivery skill development from this module and it will help me in reflection
and care delivery process improvement.
Week 5:
This module helped me in learning the processes of the registration under the AHPRA.
This is the most effective way in the development in the chances for the international job
seeking. The nurses at the time of transitions should re register for the better opportunity seeking

and also effectively develop the future career. This process of the re registration is effective as
well in the international visa achievement as well.
This module helped me to gather the vast knowledge regarding the job seeking and the
chance development regarding the career development in the national and international health
care system for the nurses.
Week 6:
This module is focused on the development of the leadership and management skills for
us. I found that in terms of the nursing competences leadership and management skills are very
much important. Hence, the module also helped me in obtaining the knowledge regarding the
other skills required for the leadership and management in the nursing. The skills should be
developed by me are decision making, creativity, critical thinking, planning, collaboration and
others as well. Hence, I should develop these skills in order to develop the future career properly.
This module helped me in the knowledge development regarding the future planning and
managing the skills development process for the nursing process and career development.
Competence 1:
S: I have been working as RN and responsible for a COPD patient who was from Aboriginal
community.
T: Empowering the patient and maintaining well being of patient was the goal.
A: I have researched and gathered all the evidence needed for the critical thinking for the care of
the patient. It was a critical task as the patient had low amount of health literacy. Hence, I
maintained the cultural competence and accurately educated the patient.

R: The patient developed self management skills and focused on the improvement of own health
condition.
Competence 2:
S: An immobile old patient has been admitted to the ward and I was responsible for the care of
the patient.
T: Supporting the patient and reduction of the pressure ulcer development for the patient as well
as effectively helping the patient to develop the mobility.
A: I developed the knowledge regarding the nursing competence in the engagement and
therapeutic relationship development with the patient. I used the communication skills develop
rapport. I motivated the patient to move and changed his position in regular intervals to reduce
the risk.
R: The patient developed motivation and tried to move by himself and also communicated with
me and helped me in understanding his issues.
Competence 3:
S: I was responsible for the care of a person who was not responding and communicating with
me and he was an elderly person.
T: Hence, I need to develop the professional relationship with the patient and effectively improve
the health condition of the person considering the professional nursing context and ethics
maintenance.
A: I tried to communicate with the person with different communication strategies and used
visual and non verbal technique of communication with the person to educate him and develop
my professional skills regarding care. My goal was to provide continual care to the patient and

improve the health outcome of the patient properly.
R: The person communicated with me and his health behaviour normalised with time and
effectively he considered all the intervention processes. Thus, the health outcome of the patient
was positive.
Competence 4:
S: I was responsible for care of a patient who has undergone angioplasty and he was anxious.
T: I need to assess the present situation of the patient considering the past medical history to
effectively develop the care plan of the patient and provide him proper support as well.
A: I assessed the vital signs of the patient and also communicated with the patient for the
knowledge development regarding his medical, social and family history to evaluate the present
situation and also providing him the proper care support.
R: This process helped me in the knowledge development about the person and I have developed
the proper care plan for the patient considering the health outcome of the patient.
Competence 5:
S: I was in the situation of the managing the team of nurses in the ward of 20 patients.
T: I had to cooperate and collaborate all the nurses and the documents of the patients
accordingly. I had to lead to the nurses and properly advocate the engagement of the nurses with
the patients and effective documentation of the patient care plan as well.
A: I divided the tasks among the nurses based on the patient condition and provided the proper
plan of action for all patient to the nurses responsible for the care of the patient.
R: Proper care provided to all the patients and effective collaboration among the nurses provided
timely care to the patients.

Competence 6:
S: I was responsible for the care of a person with diabetic foot ulcer and I need to dress the
wound.
T: I had to maintain the safety and the quality of care for the patient with the proper hygiene
maintenance.
A: I conducted evidence based practice that is researched on the previous works to develop the
knowledge and skills regarding the wound management of the patient especially the hygiene
maintenance. In this context, I have also communicated with the senior nurses to develop the
idea of and properly maintained the hygiene of the patient for the safety and quality management
of care.
R: The risk of the wound reduced and there was no incidence of sepsis development for the
patient.
Competence 7:
S: I was responsible for the evaluation of the care plan of a patient developed by another nurse.
T: I need to evaluate and also rectify the mistakes in the care plan and develop better plan of
care.
A: I researched on the similar cases and developed the knowledge regarding the care process of
the patient who was in coma and effectively regaining consciousness of the patient was the goal
and I have formulated a care plan that can be effective in this process.
R: The care plan was effective for the patient and the patient improved from the situation.
