Reflection
Description
The daily work of care giving to different patients is a very complex process as not all of
the patients require the same type of care. The doctors and the nurses provide care which are
individualized to the patients, fulfilling the care required specifically to the patients. The doctors
and the nurse do this by carefully examining the medical conditions of the patients. This type of
care giving approaches is called person centered care. I have learnt in details about the person
centered care
Feelings
Before this experience I was not concerned about the person centered care much but after
the weeks 5, 6 and 7 of the online tutorial my knowledge about the person centered care
increased a lot. In the week 5, it was a good experience for me to know about the person centered
care and the clinical reasoning cycle. In the sixth week, the wrong knowledge about nursing all
dissipated away and the critical thinking as well as the holistic care approaches of the nursing
had earned more importance. Finally, at the end of the 7 week, I started feeling much confident
about the concepts of nursing (Mitchell & Agnelli, 2015).
Evaluation
On evaluation of the whole experience, it can be said that it was really a very good
opportunity for me to learn about the different concepts of nursing in details. The most important
and valuable thing that I learnt from these is that nothing should be assumed about the people
who are taking care of the patients by unnecessarily creating issues on the different processes of
assessments and also it is very much necessary to oversee the other different information which

Description

patient and also the person may never get recovered. The next important think which I have
learnt from this experiment is that we have to provide holistic approach while providing care to
the patient, like a patient may not get proper treatment because of the limited services or because
of the limited financial availability (Sharp, McAllister & Broadbent, 2016). Next, the important
thing that I learnt from these concept is that the nurse must show proper respect and adequate
dignity at all times. Until and unless the nurse show the patient proper respect, the patients will
also not listen to the nurses. The nurses should understand the needs of the patients and must
provide the treatments accordingly.
Analysis
After the analysis of the learning experiences were done I found that practicing the
clinical scenarios in small groups and reflecting upon them have eased my learning strategies.
These has helped me a lot to think critically about everything and now I can make valid clinical
reasoning.
Conclusion

In the near future I need be much more confident and reduce my fear in practically taking
care of the patients suffering from critical illness. In order to reduce my fear, I need to study
much more about the different ways of reducing the fear of doing the practical nursing works
involving person centered care.

practices. Not only the learning was done but also practical experiments were done involving
critical patients who were suffering from severe disease complexions. Efficient guidance was

involved in order to increase our knowledge about the different treatment procedures needed for
different diseases.
