NURSING 2
Nursing can be a very challenging profession to work in for some people. However, for
others, it is very encouraging. The profession has its complexities and diversifications. The
personal values that I portrayed in nursing practice include honesty, nurture, being versatile, and
diverse. My philosophy is that the nursing profession focuses on offering a response to the needs
of patients. Giving room for the patient participation and maintaining the dignity of patients will
facilitate the continuity of care. Although my values are still strong, my experience has formed a
desire for a progressive education to help in enhancing my communication skills and also offer a
knowledge base for becoming an outstanding practitioner.
There is an intense devotion that all family practitioners need to have in the health of
their patients and the whole community. As a nurse, I will have the commitment to apply the
preventive measures for a healthy lifestyle and being able to educate the patients and
empowering them to alternative healthcare choices. I am passionate for self-centered care, and
therefore this gives the patients room take the responsibility in the healthcare choices, and the
outcomes of those choices strongly advocate for the collaboration of the community since I
believe that this role will provide a welcoming future for the future generations (Bednash, et al.,
2014).
My final goal is to be a nursing educator. Training and guiding the nursing students into
such an opportunity would be me productive in my career accomplishment and also help in
utilizing my experience in enlightening the future peer in the diverse opportunities in the nursing
career that awaits them (Bednash, et al., 2014).
