NURSING 2
Introduction
Nursing profession is important for a leader who is visionary and has the mission in a
clinical setting. The vision and mission that the nurse has will assist much in achieving his goals.
There are different values that a nurse is supposed to possess. All this is aimed at providing the
best care for the patients and hence capture their satisfaction.
The value of nursing as a profession
There are core values that any competent nurse possesses. The core values include;
Caring and empathy
A caregiver is supposed to maintain the intrinsic worth of sympathy and also show
concern in healthcare. Being a caregiver is one of the most gratifying and enjoyable career paths
that learners pursue whereby each specialized hour is devoted to assisting those who are around
(Flinkman & Salanterä, 2015). A nurse should understand the feelings of a patient, be sensitive
to them, and show willingness to help. Empathy lays its foundation on respect for the patients'
dignity and the acknowledgment of the self-actualization for the client. As a nurse, I should
know the patient and have a curiosity in their comfort, audacity, and self-effacement (Chachula,
Myrick, & Yonge, 2015). I also believe and appreciate the fact that I do not know everything that
concerns the patient and that I should earn the patients' confidence to assist them to be patient
and have a sense of continued possibility for growth. I believe that the nursing profession
involves planning and offering care that is culturally appropriate and sensitive.

NURSING 3
Communication
As a nurse, I strongly believe in communication. Communication is vital to the nursing
profession. It helps in receiving the necessary information about a client's believes that nurses are
supposed to show competence in both oral and written communication (Jiménez-López, Roales-
Nieto, & Seco, 2016).
Critical Thinking
I believe that as a nurse, I should be involved in making accurate and vital clinical
decisions. I can make a decision when a patient comes with a problem which is not clear. I can
explore different perspectives and possibilities so as assist patients (Fisher, 2015). Critical
thinking involves actively organized and cognitive procedure and which is designed to give room
for the nurse to explore challenges. I can take risks based on the knowledge that the patient
provides (Rutherford, 2014).
Psychomotor Skills
I believe that ‘laying on of hands' is fundamental in the provision of coziness and the
utilization of precise skills to accomplish assessing a patient and also evaluate nursing care. I
believe that I can utilize my nursing skills in a way that will provide relief and enhances the
capability of using nursing skills positively (Baillie & Black, 2014).
3a As a nurse, I trust in working in the expertise and in offering the best considerate care
with the highest level of standards possible. I also believe in providing care to make patients feel
comfortable. I also believe in personal proficiency and professional reflections due to the
existing nursing codes of ethics and education (Parandeh, Khaghanizade, Mohammadi, & Nouri,
2015).

3b Values
Solid education is crucial to my patients and their families and acting as a promoter to

offering my services (Brown, Lindell, & Dolansky, 2015). I will show loyalty to the patients by
dedicating myself to them, their families, and my profession too. I intend to integrate these
values because I believe that in any nursing environment, the aim is to provide the best quality
services that will meet a five-star rating from the clients. My primary objective in all these
believes is providing the highest quality care possible (Jiménez-López, Roales-Nieto, & Seco,
2016).
4c the additional core values that I would include in my profession would consist of;

and my outreach to the infected patients (Baillie & Black, 2014).
Integrity
Cultures of integrity will be evident in me when I show integrity in decision making and
humility. Through doing the right thing, I will be able to show how I do business and also
demonstrate my commitment to telling the truth. My culture of excellence will reflect my
commitment to continuous growth, improvement, and comprehension. I will be able to embrace
transformation and do away with mediocrity (Brown, Lindell, & Dolansky, 2015).
4d Importance of My Vision
My vision will be vital since it will show me where I am headed. This will be important
in averting dangers before they become a reality during times of challenges. It will also be
important in increasing my level of productivity. My vision will also be important in inspiring

me to keep me going. Through the vision, I will be able to view setbacks and obstacles as

I will face. The vision will also help me by providing me with a focus that will be highly needed
for me to accomplish my desired goals. The vision will assist me in working on what is essential
to achieve the results in due time. The vision will also give me the reason why I should work
hard and believe that without any conviction, my dream will come true (Jiménez-López, Roales-
