INTRODUCTION
Reflective writing helps the person in summarizing own experience in relation to certain
situation. The report is focused on experience of health practitioners as per Standard 2 which is
related to engagement with registered nurse in therapeutic and professional relationship which is
core responsibility of health care organisation The nurse will summarize experience and learning
with the of Gibbs reflective model which assist in encompass detailed analysis of individuals
person and professional feeling in relation to certain situation.
MAIN BODY
Description
As per learning I feel it is important for the registered nurse to follow the rules and code
of conduct sated in standard 4 because it helps the person minimizing medical and clinical errors.
Apart from this it also assists the person in serving quality care and safety to patient. In
accordance to study and learning will summarize my pay of treating services users during
therapeutic (Carter and Van Andel, 2011).
Personal feeling
In my opinion professional relationship in health care practices plays an important role
because it helps the individuals in analysing the way of enabling treatment to different types of
patients. It is important for the registered nurses communicate with patient effectively in order to
analyse their resistance in certain situation because according me and my experience forcing
people for diagnosis and medication is not ethical and can harm and the safety of patient.
Apparently, when I was on check of patient I took permission from him for every check up
which according to me the ethical way of engaging in therapeutic.
Evaluation
During my practices as registered nurse I was asked visit patient for routine check where
in was listed with certain medication detail about patients. When I visited in analysed that the
patient was curious to know about hat is going to happen and therefore I first introduced my self
before making him comfortable. Introduction helped me in establishing communication with
service user which made him comfortable. In my opinion learning and following coses of
standard 2 is the best way which helps the nurses in improving care practices in from of patient.
It is important for the health practitioner to draw boundary line between personal and
professional practices when at work. Not maintaining the limits and line can hamper the safety

and care services of patient which can be dangerous of health practitioners as well as for patient
(Bridges and et.al., 2013).
Apart from this, I evaluated that communicating effectively is another strategy which
helped me in making check-up easy because for every check I asked the patient, if he is
comfortable. Seeking permission from patient before every diagnosis is the best practice which
helps the nurse in conductive safe check-up with full support of service user. In accordance to
this situation, I feel standard 2 for nursing practice is effective because it helps in drawing
boundary in nurse and client relationship where the care practitioner just need to communicate
with person regarding health and check-up regardless of any discrimination. The standard
assisted me in focusing on needs of service users on the basis of trust, rest and professional
intimacy (Boundaries in the Nurse-Client Relationship, 2018). In accordance to standard 2,
nurses are more powerful, than client and because there are various patients who are vulnerable
and therefore its necessary for health care practitioner to convince patient for take proper
medication by creating influence of knowledge, experience and specialized skills.
I also realised that there is a very strong relationship between a nurse and the patient and
some factors such as respect, a well interaction etc. throws a very positive impact on maintaining
a balance between different aspects of the relationship. Crossing the boundary can have major
implications but sometimes it can act suitable enough for a few situations such as in order to
meet the therapeutic requirements and needs of the patient. As this focuses on the relationship
between professional and therapeutic relationships, I evaluated the fact that along with
maintaining a proper communication with the patient, some other factors that needs to be
considered are support, a boundary between personal and professional relationship, an
appropriate rate of supervision, maintaining the safety and culture etc. It is because I realised that
all these factors throws an impact on the processing of the operations in the health care. A proper
rate of supervision is also acts as an important aspect because this will help in investigating
whether the factors involved are throwing a positive influence or not and also in analysing if
there are any such factors that actually needs some sort of modification ore improvement. I
understood that all these factors are directly or indirectly associated with the context of mutual
trust and effective professional relationships. So, I maintained the value and dignity while
dealing with the patient. Also, I kept a regular supervision on the fact that whether the patient is
undergoing any improvements or not. It is important because I think this is a very essential step

to monitor that whether the involved measures are throwing a positive impact or not. Also, I
ensure to take proper consultations from my senior authorities as well because I thought they will
help me in guiding some better and appropriate ways to be used in the treatment procedure.
Hence, I have evaluated that according to standard two the practitioner are not allowed to
develop any friendly or formal relationship with services users. Further the nurse are bound to
maintain confidentiality of information. The medication can only be discuses with physician
which is treating specific client (Professional standards, 2018). Informed consent to family and
immediate guardian is necessary but in ethical concerns of registered nurses practices. Like when
I was done with check-up and I ensured the patient that he is OK and there is nothing to worry
about. Moreover, I asked him to call me in case of any help. Thus, as per my experience with the
client in can stated that it is important for registered nurses to follow code of conduct set by
standard 2.
Conclusion
In accordance to experience and learning in world like to concluded by stating that
Standard 2 of registered nurses practices is the most efficient way of managing safe care and
clinical services of patient. However, from the experience in evaluate that it is important for the
registered nurse to treat patient with respect and dignity in order to maintain values of profession.
Action Plan
As per the evaluation and my experience with patient I realized that it is important for me
to make changes in may care practices such as I need to more focused on maintaining boundary
between patient and nurse relationship because during check-up I was more concerned about
patients level of comfortability instead check-up which can impact by duty and responsibility in
case of vulnerable patients (Lawrence, 2011) Apparently, in future I have planned to draw line
during check for communication which will helps me in connecting with services user more
effectively as per professional values and code of conduct at time of engaging in therapeutic.
CONCLUSION
The report summarized about individual experience of registered nurse during medication
and clinical practices. For summarizing experience the person made use of Gibbs model which
assisted the individual in drawing systematic record of personal learning and experience which
was based on Standard 2 that is engagement in therapeutic and professional relationships.
