NURSING SCENARIO 2
Following are the answers in relation to the given scenarios:
1. I have experienced a similar situation of hypotensive in hemodialysis, I have limited the
UF to <4% of body weight and reduces the dialysis temperature. Additionally, I have
guided the patient to avoid immediate eating before and during the dialysis process and to
limit the use of fluid and salt intake.
2. Work health and safety is an act that assists in protecting the health and safety of all the
workers at work including people affected by the work (Queesland, 2019). In the clinical
practice, I have applied the same by developing a use of gloves to resist infection.
Additionally, I have paid a prior attention while operating the heavy medical equipment’s
(Tweedy, 2014).
3. The first approach will be requesting the Muslim woman to remove her hijab. Secondly, I
will assure her that only female surgeons will complete the medical procedure. In case
she resisted, I will provide her the facility of home mid trimester delivery with due
permission from the senior physician.
4. As per the RMO direction, I will try to contact her mother to share the emergency
surgical need for the girl. In case, I fail to contact her, I will prepare the young patient for
an appendix surgery. However, I will not initiate the surgical process until receiving the
due consideration from the patient guardian.
5. It is analyzed that ataxic gait and smell of alcohol from woman might be the side effects
of pneumonia medication. Concerning the infant safety, I will guide the mother that her
breast milk will be harmful as it has intoxications mixed due to medication and will
provide her with powdered milk to feed the baby. Lastly, being an ethical nurse I will
provide the mother with protein rich food to foster fast recovery.
