3. Nursing Philosophy
To be a professional nurse needs to maintain and improve the major three skills in practices
in relation to the academic nursing knowledge, an effective communicative and collaboration,
and a person-centred care. First of all, the professional nursing knowledge foundation is
essential for nurses facing and solving the future clinical actions. In addition, the role of
nurses plays a necessary contact between patients and medical workers, which can greatly
promote the nice relationship with patients, thereby could reduce the argument and dispute in
the hospital. Another personal skill in nursing practice is the positive attitude, especially in
working time. Nurse needs more attention during the operations. For instance, professionals
have to check the medications carefully with two registered nurses. Even though workers
might feel tired, they still need to balance and recover their psychological pressure and
energy.
Effective communication abilities is considered as the most significant tool to apprehend the
necessities of efficient patient's care that in turn assist to sustain an effective beneficial
relationship among the nurse and the patient. Communication skill comprises of
interpersonal, verbal and written communication ability. The other form includes non-Verbal
communication skill that includes posture and body language and also by preserving direct
eye-contact with the other person and by monitoring the manner of their individual voice,
which will help the individual who cannot speak English to share their apprehension easily
with the registered nurse. Therefore, I pay appropriate attention to their apprehension to
improve better person-centred care.
4.Standard 2: Engages in therapeutic and professional relationships
An effective team work significantly consists a high-quality nursing care. Nursing is
considered as one of the reputable profession that emphasizes on the care and comfort of the
involved patient and is associated with certain standards that has to be sustained by the
registered nurse to effectively perform their responsibility. I had also joined the nursing-team
work in recent placement. For instance, I joined a food clinic with nurses, child psychologist,
speech pathologist and social workers, which was a huge group work to discuss and share
dieting information with parents and children. I have understood the importance of diet-habits
of children that can directly affect kid’s health. Thus, we had discussed a comprehensive care
plan, and advised parents to encourage kid to play and eat variety of foods.
In addition, professional, ethical and legal necessities of the nurse involve knowledge base,
responsibility with admiration to the regulation affected by the health care providers, which is
enormously essential to trail the ethical and legal process throughout the treatment and
management of the involved patient that will lead to additional ethical and legal
issue. Beneficence is a moral obligation to act for the benefit of others in seven ethical
principles. During my clinical placement, I was extremely maintaining the privacy of patients
according to the ethical and legal requirement. I practiced to instruct the patient regarding the
legal problems that can rise because of negligence in order to elude further obstacle. Veracity
is another important principle that means truth telling. Being honest during each
communication with patients is not only a moral behaviour, but also a respect for patients.
I have also learnt and improved my nursing skills from my placements that include in diverse
activities and express various approaches to manage and handle the patient to further develop
the continuous retrieval quality. Hence, the registered nurse must form a pattern with the
assistance of former healthcare team members. The activity is completed by the nurse, as the
nurse has attained RN program that will fetch them the degree and help for the development
of the clinical preparation and develops the overall health of the involved patient thereby
reducing medical faults or errors. Throughout the clinical exercise, I used diverse approaches

to develop the excellence of care for the patient like regular observing, proper management
and effective administration of medicines by means of 5 moralities with nurses, which I
strictly operate based on safety. In my past rehab placement, I have encouraged my patients
to do appropriate exercises as they can improve the quality of rehabilitation.
Therefore, the therapeutic nurse-patient relationships are based on trust and respect, which
foster a good quality care in nursing engagements.
