Nursing Leadership and Management
Researchers have come up with a couple of several definitions for these two keywords.
However, the most appropriate definitions state that management is administering and making
sure a smooth run of activities in an organization. On the other hand, leadership making people
understand and adhere to the vision set by the organization to work and achieve a common goal.
According to the research done in our health care Centre, it was realized that the operations are
prolonged as compared to other healthcare Centres. It has been noted that the lack of modern
facilities in our hospital is one factor that is dragging us behind. The growth of technology in the
world today has made operations easier in organizations.
The primary purpose of quality improvement is to enable the quick and smooth running
of operations in how healthcare centers. The addition of more ambulances will ensure patients
are transported to the healthcare providers that they have been referred to. The introduction of
computers will favor the operations in the hospital (Kaplan et al. 2012). Computers are widely
used in the ministry of health across the globe, and the results have been pleasant.
When all these renovations are done, the hospital is expected to advance its services and
thus reaching more patients. It has been noted that patients travel from a far distance to come for
treatment; the target population will increase significantly. As the operations are faster, the
hospital is likely to reach more patients within a short period. Several benefits come as a result of
quality improvement. One of them is that patients are attended with short duration as data
recording is not taken manually as before. This fast data recording will help to prevent
overcrowding. The increase of ambulances will ensure the quick and safe transport of patients
that are in critical condition.

Interprofessional collaborations and budget justification.
Interprofessional collaborations come in when several workers from different professions
work together with the sick and communities. This leads to high-quality service.
Interprofessional collaborations benefit both the workers and the patients as well as the
community. As these groups work together, they can share ideas among themselves and hence
gain from one another (Bridges et al. 2011). This is the best idea for our health care Centre as all
individuals drop their ego for the sake of providing quality services to the patient.
These projects are aimed to make our healthcare Centre offer quality services to the
patients. Moreover, they will help the nurses to handle their work efficiently and more
accurately. To establish this, a budget was recommended for all set suggested improvements. As
stated earlier in the report, much is needed to ensure quality services are rendered to the patients.
They include; increase the number of ambulances, introduction of computers to replace manual
work done by the nurses as well as a good supply of medicine. Having noted that the hospital has
one ambulance, the addition of 10 more ambulances will boost the quality of our services to
greater heights. This may cost the hospital about 122,949 US dollars per ambulance. This will
add up to 1.3 million US dollars.
Under the computer project, the hospital needs 50 computers. This is to ensure that every
office has a computer. One computer goes for 760 US dollars, for the 50 pieces, the total will
sum up to 38,000 US dollars. As for the medics, the hospital needs to pay for the importations of
medicine every month. This is to ensure the hospital operates without shortage. This will cost up
to 800 US dollars per month. Having computers running the hospital, unexpected blackouts will
lead to a stoppage of work. Therefore, the introduction of standby generators will help serve

patients when blackouts occur. The cost of the best power generator that is capable of supplying
power to the whole hospital is 15,000 US dollars. This is the gasoline generator.
Once the quality of services is improved, changes will be noted from far. By observation
method, it will be pointed out that no overcrowding like before. This means that the speed at
which incoming patients were registered with has changed for better. Moreover, data retrieval is
fast since the introduction of the use of computers. Data will not be lost like before when the
manual method of obtaining data was used.
To conclude, the discussed renovation will make our healthcare Centre effective and
bring a pleasant atmosphere from the workers and the patients. The hospital will be reliable to
both the community around and even those from far. These suggestions were agreed upon by the
group of nurses that were assigned to take the survey.
