Introduction
The report will aim at determining the importance of promoting health in order to create
optimized health of people that could help them to sustain longer lives. The notion for promoting
health can be demonstrated and classified as an important component for health practices. The
promotion of good health is a mixture of science as well as art that could help the people in to
discover the synergies among their optimal health & core passions. This could enhance their
motivation towards optimal health by linking to their passion. There are various aspects that
influence the promotion of health activities & are required to be taken into consideration while
conducting programs in relation to the promotion of good health. The present report will
underline about health issue that are prevailing in the society and its challenges at national &
local level. In the end, this report will demonstrate some models or approaches to tackle the
challenges and issues such as obesity.
Main Body
While taking the context of the poster, the selected topic is obesity. In the views of the
Health Survey of England conducted in 2019, I analysed that almost 28 per cent of the adult
population across England are having obesity, and a further 36.2 per cent are dealing with
overweight. As per my analysis, there are several people suffer from obesity or overweight in
England. In my standpoint, obesity is generally defined as the mechanism of body mass index
which is above 30. The average body mass index between 25 and 30 is usually overweight. Due
to obesity and overweight, other associated diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and
many more show their prevalence and make individual health more difficult. It is analysed that
proper health promotion intervention must be introduced as obesity is increasing day by day. The
children are affected due to obesity that formulates psychological and social issues such as
isolation from the social group, and so on.
I analyse the data of joint strategic need assessment (JSNA) that provide the prevalence
of obesity divided into two sets of data. It estimates the prevalence from Health Survey for
England, known as HSE, and the National child measurement program called NCMP. The health
survey for England is an annual survey that is conducted in order to keep a track of the people’s
health and health-related behaviours or trends. In addition, I also focus on the policies that were
implemented and help to tackle overweight and obesity (Waters et al., 2018). The government

policy named 'healthy lives, healthy people; a call to action on obesity in England' sets out
the national approach for the tackling of obesity. With the government strategies, I clearly
understand that they prevent and treat obesity with approach and action at every level. The
legislation is also helpful to stop and show the multi-approach to reduce the rising situation of
obesity. The Health and social care act 2012 usually places a local government at the core of
health and care service with the responsibilities for the commissioning of service that improves
the health and well-being of the local population. In my evaluation, I also addressed the
determinant of health and welling. The health and social care act 2012 also plays a role in
creating awareness among the population to change lifestyle and follow nutritional aspects for
improved life outcomes (Brown et. al., 2019).
There is a wide range of children usually affected by obesity. The children are selected as
the target population of the chosen topic. Therefore, the poster shows the aspect of health
promotion based on the normative health need and felt the requirement as per Bradshaw's
taxonomy of need (Pérez-Ferrer et. al., 2019). As per the view point of Bradshaw, there are
mainly four types of need. One of the need is normative need which is mainly focuses on
distinguishable such as Vaccination. Another need is felt need which shows the behaviour of
wants, wishes, and desire. The third need is vocalized need which state how people use the
service which is provided to them within the health promotionThe comparative need usually
shows that need that arises in the one location that is similar for people. In the context of my
exploration of children, for obesity, the normative need presents the attitude or approach that
focuses on weight loss and weight management and treats the myriad of health issues. According
to Bradshaw, the felt need focuses on reducing obesity, including frustration, anger, and upset. In
addition, the target population, children, also face the issue of bullying due to their overweight or
obese body structure. The need to get free from such behaviour and living life independently and
healthily comes along this (Castro-Juarez and et. al., 2020).
The intervention prepared with the poster is planned by considering the need of target
population and designed with the aspect to follow the approach which is effective in order to
reduce the obesity that includes lifestyle change, healthy diet, and so on. I understand the
designed poster usually carries all the aspects which fulfil the identified need. In addition, the

where the individual adopts healthy health behaviour and reduces the chance of obesity and
overweight. The governmental policies are helpful in my aspect as it plays an influential role in
creating awareness among the population towards positive approach which lower the
complexities (Hoeeg, Christensen and Grabowski, 2020). In my study, the health promotion
poster aims to minimize the risk of obesity and rising cases with the appropriate intervention,
including lifestyle modification, healthy diet, and many more. With this, I also observed
significant objectives: reducing the cases of obesity, generating awareness among the population,
and educating people for healthy habit. The Model of practice is essential for the promotion of
health poster that is mainly a health promotion planning model. The Health promotion
planning model is defined as the framework which is based on macroscopic level for an entire
health promotion effort aimed to foster reduction in obesity (Ogden and et. al., 2020). In this, the
health promotion approach plays a very important role in developing the quality of good health.
It consists of an educational approach and behavioural change that is undertaken in order to
design the poster effectively. In addition, the educational approach is useful to produce
awareness regarding the eating habit and healthy aspect take nutritional food, less cholesterol,
less fat, focus on eating low glycaemic index food, and many more. This information plays a
health measurement for the excellent lifestyle in my concern among the people and target
population. Therefore, the behavioural change usually includes preventing themselves from
taking junk food, high cholesterol, high lipid, high fat, and many more. In this, the population
focuses on the intake of fresh vegetables, boiled food, and so on to minimize the risk (Kim and
Seo, 2020).
Conclusion
It had been concluded from the above report that the positive health plays a very
significant role in everyone's life, and this is the most important criteria that supports our
survival. Moreover, it had been understood that every individual should participate in the
campaigns or events of health promotion in order to improve their knowledge regarding their
health and issues or challenges that maybe ignored by them due to fear of operations and
incurring high costs on operations. Obesity is among the most critical conditions and problems
from which most of the adult population across the globe is suffering. Obesity is the causes of
many fatal health problems which may be life threatening like heart diseases, sugar, haemorrhoid
etc. It directly impacts an individual’s personal, physical, mental, social, and behavioural health

negative effects but it may continuously provide certain challenges that may become the
