INTRODUCTION
Nursing refers to a medical professionals in which a person focus of actual care needs of
patients and provide appropriate medical facilities for their welfare as per prescription of
physician or specialist (Krentz, Fujioka and Hompesch, 2016). It includes health and human
sciences because a nurse utilise concept of medical science for provide appropriate care for
improving health of the patient. This essay focussed on the the issue i.e. ‘People who are obese
are putting themselves at risk unnecessarily. They should take a low priority for treatment on any
hospital list. To what extent do you agree?'.
MAIN BODY
“People who are obese are putting themselves at risk unnecessarily. They should take a
low priority for treatment on any hospital list. To what extent do you agree?”
Individuals with overweight and obese condition do not take this problem more seriously
because they are not aware about relevant complications. It observed that many of people do not
focus on their regular diet and physical exercise which results into problem of obesity. However,
it has been analysed that patients with obese condition put themselves at risk as they avoid their
problematic health condition unnecessarily which may create complications in future.
Meanwhile, it is required for them to take their body condition seriously for maintain appropriate
health condition. Obese condition of an individual can be defined as a complicated situation
which consist excess amount of fat deposition take place on human body (Stefan, Häring and
Schulze, 2018). It is responsible for developing other health problems such as strokes & heart
disease, certain cancer, digestive issues, sexual & gynaecological problems, sleep apnoea,
osteoarthritis and type 2 diabetes. However, the symptoms of obese condition includes additional
body fat in tissue and abnormal body mass index. This health problems is caused due to
behavioural, genetic, metabolic and hormonal influences on human body.
On the other hand, I agree with the fact that obese people are putting themselves at risk
which is due to lack of knowledge and negligence behaviour of them. It is necessary for care
professionals to establish health promotional campaigns to improve awareness people to take
their obese condition seriously because they are responsible for developing extreme complex
chronic disease in body. However, people with obesity has a perception that this a normal

condition of human body and many of them do not consider this as a health problem which
become a strong factor against them when they become severely ill. Moreover, it is very true that
people put themselves at high risk which should reduced by proper efforts of medical
practitioners for informing citizens about fact of obese situation. Additionally, most of
individuals are nor have proper information about obesity and its risk factors and they do not
have knowledge to maintain their appropriate body through balancing body mas index.
Cultural or traditional influences are also responsible for this behaviour of obese people.
Some of individuals think that their situation with extra weight is known to be symbol of wealth
and prosperity. Due to this thought, they avoid to focus on balanced diet and physical work out
to maintain the body mass index (Elagizi and et. al., 2018). However, so thoughts encourage
them to put themselves at risk which should be improve by motivational communication of care
professionals. Additionally, it is necessary for them to become aware about obesity and relevant
risk factors along with taking low prior care in hospitals to become well-being.
The concept of taking a low priority for treatment on any hospital list is much appropriate
because a person with obese condition should utilise low priority care in health care organisation
besides of ignoring their problem. It is helpful to for them to avoid complications and take proper
care and treatment to maintain the additional body weight which facilitate to avoid other relevant
complex diseases. However, it is also favourable to identify the complications of current
situation that can be treated immediately by proper diagnosis of practitioners (Reeves, Zaki and
Day, 2016). It is beneficial or individuals to analyse about their other problems like high blood
pressure and other risk which can also be treated on time before acquiring complexities.
Moreover, making low priority treatment has a main fact of evaluating actual health condition
according to which medical professionals will provide treatment to gain better health condition.
CONCLUSION
Considering the above essay, it has been occluded that obese condition can be described
as condition to be with extra body mas index. It includes the intervention of taking low prior
