How is strategic performance evaluated?
It is necessary to reduce occupational disease within organisation. This will enable in
creating a positive environment and improving work conditions. Thus for that there is need to
evaluate strategic performance. It is done in different ways such as :
Performance management system –it is a system in which there are various metrics included in
it. this allows in measuring performance with set goals and objectives. Moreover, the data
gathered in it is analysed and processed. Then, outcomes are generated through it. similarly, this
system is used to evaluate strategic performance (Rushton,, 2017)
Measuring outcome with goals- this is way through which strategic performance is measured.
It enables in evaluating of outcomes in with goals that are set. Through that performance or
organisation is analysed that whether goals are attained or not.
formative evaluation - it will be easy to make evaluate claim in formal way.
Process evaluation- However, with process it will be analysed due to which ineffective process
claim is occurred and what methods were not taken in it.
Effectiveness evaluation- it determine effectiveness of strategic performance in reducing of
occupational safety.
Impact evaluation- it will find out impact of claim due to occupational disease is reduced or not.
Thus, these all are ways through which performance is measured. It allows in making it
easy to measure it and find out results.
What process and criteria are used to evaluate outcome? What limitation or barriers are present?
Along with evaluation of strategic performance there are several process and criteria used.
This is helpful in evaluating outcomes and then finding out whether goals are achieved or not.
So, there are several criteria used in it. they are as follows
KPI- it is the basic criteria in order to evaluate outcome. Here, some KPI are formed which is
based on certain factors. The KPI can be quality, goals, etc. through which results are measured.
This gives overview about whether outcomes are attained or not (Michaelis, 2017).
Quantitative process- this is process through which statistics and outcomes are measured. Here,
outcomes is evaluate on basis of certain facts such as work time, employee retention, etc. is
considered in it.
Qualitative process- this process is used in it is identified what factors are reduce in occupational
disease. Here, only theoretical analysis is done and specific criteria is used.

Hence, these are criteria and process by which outcome is measured. In that the metrics
are different and process as well. besides that, components also varies in it but there is in depth
review of results in it.
It has been stated that there are several barriers which is present in it. the criteria set in this
vary when work conditions are not proper. It does not considered the health and safety of
employees. Besides that, another limitation is progress of process is not measured in it. this
means all goals are measured once. So, it becomes difficult to evaluate outcomes in it.
