Analysis of OSHMS Impact on Worker Health and Safety Performance

This Master's project examines the effectiveness of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OSHMS) in intervening on employee health and safety issues to enhance worker productivity. The study focuses on manufacturing organizations, exploring the implementation of OSHMS and the factors influencing safety culture. The project investigates the impact of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) techniques on safety performance, utilizing a survey and t-test analysis to compare results from organizations with and without TPM implementation. The research identifies key factors of safety culture, such as management commitment, communication, and training, and their influence on safety outcomes. The findings suggest that TPM can significantly improve safety culture and overall safety performance. The project also explores the relationship between safety culture, climate, and management practices and provides recommendations for improving OSH management through TPM. The project aims to identify the factors of safety culture which can develop the safety performance of the business.
