came. In this all employees who were on strike got replaced. This was done to maintain the

These committees also ensure that the organizations are giving adequate training and education
to its employees to make them capable to complete in this world economy. These auditing plans
proposed under different programs helps giving employees an environment that increases their
capabilities and education. It ensures to provide jobs to the people who are jobless.
Part C: Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Management
Crisis management and Emergency preparedness plans are formulated to provide safety to the
employees against any natural calamities. In the organizations, an Emergency Response Team is
formed to provide all necessary facilities in case any accident happens. These teams are so well
trained that if any unfavorable situation occurs, it immediately responds.
During Earthquake, Specific attention is given to items that are or are most likely to cause into
dangerous or bad conditions because of strain, wear, effect, movement, temperature, corrosion, a
chemical reaction or misuse.
Safety Committee will include regions such as where no job is done regularly, e.g., parking lots,
sleep areas, staff storage fields and locker rooms to ensure the evacuation of responders and all
workers. "Best Buy" has a kind of inspections at changing times.
There are formal monthly safety tour ensures the cost plan. After control of Crisis, weekly round
are conducted by the safety committee. Outside inspectors may show up just annually or twice
annually, dependent on the need of recovery from the crisis. In another crisis like Spill response,
all proper protective clothings, equipments for safety and cleaning up materials are available for
spill cleaning like gloves, respirators and all.

responsibilities to each responder so that at the time of emergency each and every person is
aware of what he is supposed to do.
As this crisis management can take up billions of dollars. In order, to maintain the cost bearing

Vision:
Occupational Safety and Health administration aims at ensuring a well-organized and healthy
work environment for employees in organizations. Aim to provide a safety work culture is to
give a feeling to our employees of being connected to organization. Different strategies can be
formulated to implement safety culture. These can be: time to time inspection at Best Buy,
getting employees feedback, making arrangement of all first aids facilities at workplace etc.
Lately, the term " workplace society " has become very fashionable. More than just the
buzzword, work culture relates to the way things are made in the work. Rather than relating to
the organization's preventive policy and system, the idea of safe attitude is encouraged by the
mindsets, attitudes and behaviors of employees, employers, leaders and management level of the
workplace.
The safety attitude in the workplace " Best Buy" is really a very important aspect of a successful
and efficient safety and health system. The goals of occupational safety and wellness programs
in " Best Buy "allow promoting a safe and a healthy business environment. OSH team also assist
workers working together, their family members, employers, clients, and some others also who
can be impacted by this workplace situation.
The committees of OSH also ensure that the organizations are giving adequate training and
education to its employees to make them capable to complete in this world economy.
These auditing plans proposed under different programs helps giving employees an environment
that increases their capabilities and education. It ensures to provide jobs to the people who are
jobless.
To assure a safety culture in organization, all employees, employers and other member of
company should work together to achieve safety objectives.
One of the main importance of OSH practitioner is to help the employees to be remain safe from
any kind of injury or illness. If any employee’s absence due to sickness does not affect work then
also OSH practitioner helps that employee to return to the work very soon and healthy. It creates
a sense of belongingness to the employee.
There are some helpful tips which can increase positive safety culture in the organization through
OSH:
1. Communication: Making talks periodically at work place increase a sense of safety.
Employers must communicate with their employees about all aspects of the company.
2. To Train Employees: An adequate training session should be given to employees to
make them aware of all technological or any other changes in business environment. It
helps in creating safety culture at workplace.

Cultural Leadership Model:
For a positive Safety Culture in Best Buy, the leaders communicate effectively and politely with
all internal and external people coordinate well with each other and provides training to all.
These strategies are evaluated by the safety officer with the help of safety protocol checklist to
ensure the positivity of culture in Best Buy. Leadership model has its way to display a solid
responsibility to security, they get included and rouse others to have positive wellbeing practices.

training and knowledge about methods to utilize to ensure the audit is going good. Internal the
control system, like a support system, will encourage that audit is carrying out excellently. The
Safety manager will build- up positive relations with all to keep the positivity of the
environment.

structure or to increase advantage in labor conflicts. It is much achieved by virtually locking
employees out of the work, but it may also be accomplished through job stoppage, layoffs, or the
hiring of nonunion substitute workers. (Britannica) The lockout procedure of gas cylinder at
"Best Buy "is planning for any chance of lockout by identification of energy sources, switches,
etc. It is used for the employee for making the eatable items. There can be a risk of fire is
misused or not used properly. In order, to ensure the safety of all where lockout is difficult, a
checklist in written sequence form is prepared for making equipment access, lockout, clearance,
release and start-up. Any external or employees can misuse the cylinders by locking out them
without proper protocol.
One of the abnormal use equipment in "Best Buy" is Pulling fuses are another option for
lockouts. Because a fuse is pulled doesn’t give guarantee that the circuit is completely dead.
Even if there any circuit is found dead then some another person could unintentionally use
different fuse. The employer can get shocked and can even cause fatal cause to them. In order, to
mitigate the risk, the equipments should be shut down normally by doing the switches turned off
and valves can be closed etc. Equipments are placed far from energy sources by disconnecting or
getting the sources of energy blocked.
The Lockout and energy preventing devices, by a padlock or any other device that is used for
locking that the worker is having control over as well as a tag that indicates that the equipments
have been shut down, will be implemented. All energy sources will be verified and all be
evacuated from a place. When all protocol is followed, the equipment is tested TEST IT! to
ensure the effectiveness of lockout.
Occupational Safety and Health takes every possible step to ensure that employees and working
environment at work place remains safe and healthy. Special acts have been prepared for
different states and areas who are far away from other employment facilities. The act of OSH
makes every federal agency responsible to provide safe and healthy workplace to workers.
Under OSH law, employers are held responsible if any employee feels any unsafe environment
at workplace. Following rules of OSH, employers-built crisis management and responders team
against any natural hazard. Special training is given to the responders of such groups so that they
can quickly take action against any unfavorable situation.
Education and training are provided to the employees for their welfare so that they can
understand their rights and also can get all important knowledge regarding work to compete
globally.
Occupational Safety and Health Act has fixed some standards for the protection of employees.
They are as such:
 It protects against deceases that can be infectious
 It prevents to use some harmful chemicals. These kinds of chemicals can be used under
specified conditions only.
 It imparts training to employees to understand different languages if necessary.

properly guarded.
OSH ensures periodically inspections at work place to determine that all activities are done in
accordance to the act and standards. If they find employer to fail in achieving all these standards,
then a special inspection is done without giving any notice. For this, a special trained team is
formed who are highly educated. If OSH finds anything that is violating the rules, then corrective
action can be taken in form of fine or any other punishment.
Conclusion
Despite these challenges, the organization is poised to make substantial improvements at the
upcoming period at the life quality for all people who works there. Occupational safety and
welfare investigation have led to numerous alterations in workplaces and business procedures
that protects from any injury, illnesses, and deaths at work. Current investigation attempts to
determine new and greater ways to make better safety environment for workers. and to recognize
and address emerging risks. Additionally, scientists and partners have been working together to
