Research Design
There are three types of research design. These are qualitative, quantitative and mixed
method.
Qualitative research design: It is a scientific method of research design. In this method only
the non – numerical data has been gathered.
Quantitative research design: It is a systematic investigation technique. In this method only
the quantifiable data has been gathered. This method performs statistical, mathematical and
computational technique.
Mixed research design: It is a research method, which includes both qualitative and
quantitative method of design.
The quantitative research design has been applied on the study of Occupational health
and Toxicology. This study focuses the chemical and biological hazards at the working place.
Reason for choosing approach
The reason for choosing quantitative research design is that this study plays an
important role on the significant of human health effect. The result of Occupational health
has been divided in to various quantities (Callahan, 2014).
Types of toll to collect data
There are three types of data collection technique. These are survey, observation and
interview. The survey method of data collection has been applied on this study.
Reason for choosing survey method
The reason for choosing survey method is that it is a best method among all the data
collection technique. The survey has been done based on the workers of industrial toxicology.

In this survey has been taken an industry for collecting sample. The large sample of
observation has been collected in this study. The questionnaire method has been applied to
collect the sample observation from the industry (Lunn et al., 2017).
Internal and external validity of this study
When a study is free from the error or bias, then it is said to be internally valid. This
study reflect the significance of exposure and disease of the workers on an industry. There is
a risk of association has been seen on the influence of the workers toxicology (Cockerham,
2018).
The external validity has been seen, when this study secure from the internal validity.
The most important external validity of this study is that the results of workers toxicology on
an industry is close to same for male and female. But the workers occupational toxicology
has been investigated exclusively and separately for both man and woman worker on an
industry (Orr, 2014).
