Section 1: OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCE
Planning and Organising Work
Planning and organizing are the functions in the company which are performed by the
leaders and managers. These are also considered as the skills which help the company in
managing its time in order to utilize their tools and resources in an optimal manner so that they
can achieve their goals and objectives effectively and efficiently. Planning and organizing are the
functions which help the organization to work out in achieving their AIMS and therefore
planning is necessary at all the levels in the company along with the organization so that the
systematically done task can result in a positive manner with good productivity in the company
(Tan, Zhen Lim, Xie and Lee, 2020).
In my recent project I have performed the function of planning and organizing the task. It
was all about to align the goals and objectives of the project with proper planning and organizing
the work. I have planned how the entire project will start and end. So that the organizing and
execution can be done in an appropriate manner. I have followed the proper steps of planning
and organizing while making the alternative options for safety. It also includes the risk
assessment in order to mitigate any upcoming hazards so that proper planning and organizing can
help in risk management of the entire project. Therefore I prefer that planning and organizing are
the most important functions that are to be carried out in any projects or in the company to
accomplish the goals and objectives.
Managing Health, Safety and Welfare/Wellbeing
Managing health and safety along with the welfare in the organization is an important
activity to perform. This is basically providing the facilities to the Employees in the organization
to be safe and can maintain hygiene such as washrooms and restrooms along with the changing
facilities and the eat and drink cleaning areas. There is also the law which established on
maintaining the health and safety in the workplace which provides a framework to execute the
health and safety management arrangements within the organization which must be followed in a
correct and accurate manner. This is because it prevents and reduces the opportunity for harm to
any of the individuals. This is a law which stops getting hurt at work (Martin, Elg, Gremyr and
Wallo, 2021).

In my recent project I have performed the management of health and safety along with
the welfare and well being among the employees of the organization. This is because health and
safety is an important concept because it helps in motivating and encouraging the employees to
work in a more productive manner without any harmful element which further helps in the
welfare and well-being of an individual. I have followed several steps to maintain the health and
safety among the employees so that they can walk freely and avoid any risk while performing the
task. This has helped me in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the project in an effective
and efficient manner with full safety and security of the resources.
Managing Quality
Managing quality in the workplace is the process of making sure that the organization
which is producing the product and service must be qualitative in nature and must satisfy the
customer as per their needs and requirements to the fullest. This helps in maintaining the market
stability and with better growth and expansion which ultimately result in the large number of
sales generation and revenues along with the productivity. Quality management has mainly
elements that are quality planning and quality assurance along with quality control and quality
improvement. Quality management is not only targeted on the product and services but also the
intention behind achieving the quality of their offerings to the customers (Salman, Ganie and
Saleem, 2020).
In my recent project I have performed the management of quality. This is an important
function because without managing the quality it is useless to accomplish the project. This helps
in serving the customers at its fullest needs and requirements to satisfy their demands. Quality
management is performed by me where I have followed several steps of quality management
from evaluation to the monitoring of the entire procedure from initial point to the end stage of
the project. Measurement of quality is also being done by the team members where I have
monitored them to perform so that quality can also be improved for future concerns which
ultimately enhances the entire productivity of the project.
Sustainable & Environmental Practices in Construction
Sustainable and environmental practices in construction involve several practices which
are not harmful and can save the environment potentially. It basically includes the smart
designing of the construction part by acknowledging the methods and considerations which are
done with the help of latest technology for example building information modeling which helps
2

in estimating the needs and requirements of the materials at every stage of the designing
construction part. Moreover, it is important to focus on the use of the recycled and sustainable
materials while practicing the construction in order to save the environment and also to use the
harvested water at the time of construction for better management (Jimenez, 2019).
In my recent project I have performed the activities of sustainability and also performed
the environmental practices in the construction management. I have used various resources in the
practices of construction management which can be recycled and reused so that the wastages can
be avoided and optimum utilization of resources can be done while managing the construction.
This has helped in maintaining and improving the sustainability and also the environment in
being more secure without any harmful elements in the air. This is because construction
management highly uses the elements which are against the environmental factors but
performing the construction management which are in the favor of environmental factors is the
best way of performing the construction management.
Knowledge of Commercial, Contractual and Legal Issues
Commercial and contractual along with the legal issues are related with the six different
areas. For example, scope of work and performance duty provision is one of the areas which also
relates with securing the parties performance provision and also the payment provision as well.
Moreover the change in the project and the change in the orders provision are also related to such
contractual and legal issues and other issues are the delays provision and indemnification
provision which are all associated with the commercial and contractual along with the legal
issues (Bratianu, Hadad and Bejinaru, 2020).
In my recent project it was important for me to gain the knowledge about the commercial
and contractual along with the legal issues so that if any images while performing the project, I
can resolve them on an instant basis without any time delays and cost issues. There are various
issues which are related with the legal and contractual which are to be maintained and follow the
laws according to the project management. Commercial issues are the issues which are necessary
for the society and environment and contractual issues are important for the project management
deal. Legal issues are for the maintenance of the legalities of the nation. All such laws are being
concerned while managing my project management.

Communication
Communication is defined as the exchanging of the information and imparting some sort
of the data from one person to another by simply speaking and writing or can use any other
medium in order to deliver the content from one person to another. It is simply sending and
receiving information with the help of some sources such as Mobile lines and computers are the

better decision making and innovative ideas to deliver in order to have good productivity in the
workplace (Bashir and Farooq, 2019).
In my recent project I have applied the communication strategies and communication
flow hierarchy among the entire project management team and employees who were involved in
the project. It is important to adopt the communication strategies so that the interaction flow can
be maintained which ultimately helps in formal and informal communication among the
employees that motivates the staff to perform in a more improved manner. Communication
medium used in the form of electronic manner and also in the traditional way as well.
Electronical way used includes the computers and electronic mails along with the presentations
and electronic conferences. Traditional way includes the written documents in a manual manner.
Decision Making
Decision making is defined as a process of making choices in order to identify the
decision so that the gathering of the information and evaluating the alternative solutions can be
performed in the workplace. decision making has the step by step process to follow so that the
making of the decision can be deliberate and relevant to the organization with useful information
along with the alternative as well. It is considered as a cognitive process which results in the
selection of some courses of action which have various possible alternative options and it can
either be rational or irrational. Therefore the decision making process in the organization is
basically performed at every stage of the functioning of the organization (Chursin and Tyulin,
2018).
In my recent project I was involved in the decision making process. I have to make a
strategy of decision-making so that the alternative chosen and final implementation can be done
4

in a tactical manner for better productivity of the project and successful results of the entire
project management. I have followed the proper steps of decision making so that each and every
step can be evaluated and monitored in a specific way. This is because if any problem or risk
occurs, it can be mitigated at that time only in an instant. This has helped in the project
management strategies to be more effective and efficient while executing it and has resulted in
an accomplished manner while achieving goals and objectives of the project management.
Managing Information
Managing information is defined as the description of how most of the successful
companies make use of their knowledge and information to the best of their abilities and
maintenance of it. It is considered as the basic ki resources in the business which explains why
the information technology is important for the business process management and is considered
as a Central to any of the business strategy. Moreover, information management is mainly
concerned with the entire cycle of the activity of an organization. It is basically the acquisition of
information from one source to another so that the distribution of the data can be done in a
relevant manner and valuable information can be distributed as per the need and requirements.
Ultimate disposal of the information must be archiving or deletion (Nam, Lee and Lee, 2019).
In my recent project I have managed critical information with the help of computers and
manually as well. Information is a thing which needs to be managed on an essential basis
because its analysis helps in the decision making and proper future considerations of the project.
I have used the big data management strategy to manage the information in order to save and
secure the personal credentials and sensitive data which is related to the project management
without being breached or hacked by any hacker. It has helped in using such data and
information in the project management data analysis which further alternately helps accomplish
the decision-making process and execution of the project successfully.
Strategic Management/ Financial Management
Strategic management and financial management is the process of managing the
organizational finances with the intention to make the organization successful in terms of money
and Goodwill in the marketplace. It is important to attain the organizational long term goals and
objectives in order to maximize the shareholder value over time which can only be done by
managing the finances of the company in a strategic and tactical manner. Strategic financial
management is basically the study of finances for a long-term view of the company with the
5

alignment of the goals of the organization. it includes the control and managing of the cash flows
and budgets along with the investment flow and many more (Hrabal, Tuček, Molnár and
Fedorko, 2020).
In my recent project I have managed the financial administration of the project which
included the budget and investment on each resource which are needed to accomplish the project
in a successful manner. I have taken care of the extra expenses and cost efficient techniques to
execute the project so that the return on investment can be profitable. Budgets and cash flows are
maintained so that each of the resources can be monitored and evaluated without any extra cost.
Financial management analyzes the entire investment being done in the current project which is
done by me and has helped the project management to be successful under the budget and good
return on investment.
Developing People and Teams
Developing people and teams is basically the function of team management in the
organization in which leadership plays the major role in successful functioning of the
development of people and the entire teams in the organization. Leaders follow some essential
steps to develop the people and teams for example by making sure that each and every individual
honestly and truly understands their roles and responsibilities. It is also done by providing the
relevant tools of training and development and also by meeting with the team members on a
frequent basis in order to discuss the goals and objectives along with the game plan in order to
grow and develop them professionally as well as personally (Bals, Schulze, Kelly and Stek,
2019).
In my recent project I was a team manager and also the leader who was responsible for
developing the people and theme for successful project management. development of people and
team is highly essential in order to accomplish the current project. This is because the project
needs the skillful and highly motivated people which are necessary to encourage them to work
for the project in a potential Manner. This can be done to make sure that these people must be
developed according to the task they have to perform and to manage the entire team by directing
and guiding them upon each and every task they have to perform in a collaborative manner.
Integration among all the employees' ideas are essential and that is why it is necessary to have a
successful project.

Innovation
Innovation is the process of the practical implementation of new ideas and thoughts
which ultimately results in the introduction of new products or can be used to improve the
services of the organization. It is basically defined as the changed or new entity in order to
realize or redistribute the value in the marketplace. Innovation management is adopted by the
organization so that they can expand and grow their products and services nationally or
internationally. This is because customers need something new every time they make a purchase
from the brand and therefore innovation is the process which can satisfy their demands from the
company (Nicholas and Steyn, 2020).
In my recent project it was important to manage the innovation with the new ideas and
creativity so that the improvement can be made in the existing strategies of the project. This is
because the existing strategies were not efficient and effective and that is why innovation
management is necessary so that the productivity can be gained in a maximum way. I have
conducted the brainstorming process in which a group of employees discuss the new techniques
of project management that have held in developing the new ideas and collaborating the existing
ideas with the new ones so that the tactical way of managing the project can be identified. This
process has helped in the innovation management and successful accomplishment of the project.
Section 3: COMMITMENT TO PROFESSIONALISM
Professional Judgement and Responsibility
Professional judgment and responsibility is basically the exercising of professional
judgment which means taking up the responsibility and having the abilities for being responsible
for the person's actions in every situation and circumstances and individual faces in life.
Professionalism is important to be prepared in order to sound and evidence-based rational a in
order to support the decision making in life. It concerns the strategic decision making in the
organization in which professional judgment is required and if anything goes wrong it is
important for the decision maker to be accountable and responsible for the same (Guliyev, Avci,
Öztüren and Safaeimanesh, 2019).
In my recent project I have a company that has professional judgment and responsibility.
It means that I was a judgment maker or decision maker in my project management and also held
accountable for anything done wrong in the entire project. it means that not only I have taken the
7

credit for the right things but also any wrongdoing was also so on the responsibility of me. This
is the professional etiquette which everyone must adhere to so that the employees who are
working under me can have the basic ethics to take responsibility for wrongdoing as well along
with the right doings and take the entire accountability on their own if they are the professional
judgment maker.
Commitment to abide by the Rules and Regulations of Professional Competence & Conduct
Commitment to abide by the rules and regulations of professional competence and
conduct are basically the rules and regulations which reflects an individual act that mainly
concerns with the integrity and honesty along with the trustworthiness which is also followed by
the respecting of others and fairness and equality by mainly discharge in the duties with Fidelity
and probity. This is a function in the organization which is related with the corporate social
responsibility and business ethics in which societal concerns and individual emotions are taken
care of so that they can be motivated and can perform that task in the organization in a more
amended manner (Jabbar, Mahmood and Qambar, 2020).
In my recent project I have committed that the rules and regulations which are followed
in the current project must be in a professional competence and conduct. It means that there are
several rules that are under the legalities and laws and also there are several regulations which
are under the business ethics but not in the legal domain. It is important to follow both the types
of rules and regulations whether it is legal or under the business ethics domain. The current
project management has followed both the types of rules and regulations so that the proper
corporate social responsibility can be maintained because it not only benefits the project
managers and stakeholders but the entire society and the culture of the nation as well.
Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
Commitment to continuing professional development is defined as the holistic

personal skills throughout the entire career of an individual. It is majorly accompanied by the
growth and development which is already accepted by the academic qualification of an

the career. This is because it helps in maintaining the standard of life and living (Krajcsák,
2019).

In my recent project I have developed the activities which were responsible for the
commitment to continuing the professional development. I have taught my employees that they
must not only stop their learning and skills along with the abilities to the current project but also
they must continue improving their professional development along with the growth so that they
can gain the hike in their career development for better standard of living. This has not only
helped the employees but also the entire project management and the organization because it
supports in gaining the skilled employees with potential tasks done in an effective and efficient
manner which further exist in gaining the improved productivity every time with the new project
occurrence
