The future of my profession is public relations. I want to pursue a career in public
relations as it is one of the dynamic fields in the professional world. It throws a constant
challenge, which is not only important for my personal development but professional
development as well. The public relations career offers creativity which suits my job
requirement. In the public relations field, there is the various post which is not restricted but is
interconnected; therefore, it will help me an opportunity to experiment and learn new things.
There is also an ample amount of opportunity for achieving growth in this field.
Occupational Profile
This includes the specialised in advertising, marketing and the public relations who
usually develop and implement the communication and the promotion strategies and the
communication programs. These professionals are also entitled to the strategies and the
communication programs to analyse the advertising plans and also develop the appropriate
advertising as well as a marketing plan (Canada.ca, 2020). They are employed in the consulting
firm, advertising agencies, cooperation as well as association. This also includes the cultural and
other organisation, and they may be self-employed. The agents of this include the entertainment,
literary as well the sports agents. In advertising, there is another sector as well, which includes

From the above discussion, it can be public relation is a very lucrative job in Canada. It is
a dynamic field which has the scope for immense growth and opportunity for the people who are
interested. Therefore it can be said that the duties of the public relations officers are coordinator
is diverse; the most important is maintaining the relationship with the internal as well as the
external public in the organisation. The skill mainly involves communication skill in both the
terms of verbal and non-verbal. The salary structure is very lucrative, and there is an ample
amount of job available in the market.
Recommendation
I would definitely pursue a career in the field of public relations as I possess a degree in
the field of journalism and mass communication; therefore, I am eligible to pursue the job.
Secondly, I am extremely well versed in the written and verbal communication skill, which is a
prime requirement for the job. I am also very enthusiastic and is good with planning as well as
multitasking however what I lack is in public speaking which I would be working on and will
engage myself in the courses of public speaking to amp up my skill.
