Introduction
The assignment includes the development of preparation of conceptual design initially and the
implementation report for the construction of an office building in an industrial park in the local
area. The industrial park is near the expressway that connects the office building site or
location to the international airport. The design and construction information of the office

The construction information package involve information about the site location and plan,
planning of floor, elevation required to build five storey office building, different section and
their corresponding details like meeting rooms, offices, cabins, etc., schedules for doors and
windows, bill of quantities required for construction of the office building as well as schedule of
works of different construction departments. The site plan gives the dimensions of the office
building location and the surrounding area like the width of roads, and a site adjacent to the
office building site. Planning and designing of the floor would help the construction team to
divide the available area of the site into different departments or sections and make use of site
area effectively. Designing of floor gives the construction team an overview of how the office
structure would look like and the specifications provided is correct or required some changes or
not. Scheduling for doors and windows helps in constructing the perfect pathway within the
office building to provide quick and easy movement of individuals from one section to another
and also ensure proper exposure of natural light within the office. Bills of quantity give the

that specified product. Performance construction information focuses on the final construction
and uses the best products to achieve the desired outcome. It is used in the situation where the
constructor has full authorization from architects or client to choose the best of best product or
materials. Perspective construction information involves a description of specific products and
materials. The contractor is completely guided to choose only the specific materials only.
In the given scenario in the construction of five-storey office building for the client, perspective
construction information should be used. As the client requires the construction to be
performed according to its own demand and wishes perspective construction information
would prove best for the scenario. The client wants all the plans, elevations, materials
according to its business requirement and budget (Goren, 2016).

of the building. BQ include a description of construction task for different sections of the
building, its related quantity, it's unit, including rate and amount. Bill of quantity also specifies
each and every TC (Terms and Conditions) and specifies all the construction work. It used for
the purpose of the post-tendering task and include planning for construction, scheduling of
materials, analysis of cost, and planning of cost for the construction of the building for the
client. Because of the involvement of re-work, the utilization of post-tender, the ‘extent of use’
is crucial. The task which is included in the re-work is breaking up, grouping or modification.
These tasks are performed and the duties of the management group. It helps the client get
information about the working extent. The most important and part of BQ is the variation
valuation (Carey, 2018).

Schedule of work can be described as lists which are utilized for smaller scale projects or for the
task of alteration in construction. It is also a part of the contract document. By schedule of work
it simply implies the list which lists the required work for construction. The schedule helps the

In the assignment, a construction project is designed, executed and constructed according to
the requirement of the client. The assignment also discussed different entities involved in the
successful execution of the overall project from the initial consultant phase to the final office
building phase. It also discussed the collaboration of CAD and BIM which greatly help different
teams to work upon a single project with ease and give speed to the overall construction
project.
