Background of the business
Ogle is one of the largest companies in the Australian market. The activities of the
company are conducted on the global platform and the company employs more than 72 thousand
full time employees. Mostly of the employees are men and 31% of the employees were female. It
has been examined that company provide internship programs to the employees so that the talent
workers can be attracted towards the operational functions of the organization. So, the discussion
will be made on the issue concerned with only recruiting top scholars who might be sometimes
overqualified. By considering this issue, the other problems are also present in the business.
Issues faced in the workplace
Low motivation and job dissatisfaction
It can be examined that this is one of the major issue that is faced in the workplace. It is
important for the higher authority to resolve this issue so that it can help to boost the efficiency
of the workers towards operational functions. The workers are demotivated because their needs
are not fulfilled in the workplace. In the workplace, it has been observed that employees are not
satisfied with the benefits that are provided to the employees. Motivation is the important factor
that should be present in the employees so that productivity can be boosted of the workers in
relation to the operations of the company. It is one of the challenges for the higher authority to
boost the satisfaction level of the employees towards the assigned task (Buckley & Doyle, 2016).
Low productivity
It is also one of the major issues in the company. The workers are not able to give their
best towards the organizational operations that are given to them. Low productivity affects the
overall success ratio of the company which is important to be maintained but in relation to the
analysis it has been examined that the employees in the workplace are not able to give their best
towards the allocated work. This issue can impact the overall success growth and profitability of
the business in the competitive market. Therefore, it can be stated that to resolve this issue the
focus should be given on boosting the training and McClelland’s learned needs theory (Leary &
Baumeister, 2017).

To resolve the issue related to low motivation and job dissatisfaction, it is important to
focus Maslow hierarchy of needs theory so that it could be easy to fulfill the needs of the
employees. This is one of the theories that focuses on satisfying the basic requirements of the
workers and it will help in boosting the motivation among workers. Maslow hierarchy of needs is
the popular motivational theory that helps in satisfying the higher order needs (Bakker, 2015). It
can be said that this theory is useful at the time of solving the major issues in the workplace.
Maslow hierarchy theory not only guides them but also induce them to be efficient and
dedication towards the assigned task.
There are five stages in this model that are important to be considered such as
psychological needs, safety needs, belongingness needs, esteem needs and self-actualization
needs. It is essential for the management to fulfill these needs so that positive outcome can be
attained. Safety and belongingness needs are the needs that emphasizes on security and creating
relations with the employees. Esteem and self-actualization needs focus on prestige and attaining
potential that include the creative activities. So, these needs should be fulfilled so that employees
can be motivated towards their work. These are the stages on which emphasis should be given so
that it could be easy to reduce the issue related to low satisfaction level of the employees towards
the assigned work (Steers & SánchezRunde, 2017).
McClelland’s learned needs theory
It can be said that this theory focuses on the needs for achievement and also demonstrate
the competence, problem solving and also mastering complex tasks that helps in attaining the
goals. It is necessary for the management to consider this theory so that the competence and
ability cam be boosted and also the higher authority should focus on offering feedback on the
performance. This is considered as the motivational theory in which there is a need to power that
focuses on the desire to influence and persuade. It can be stated that this model can assist in
measuring the overall presence of the needs and also it create positive environment through
which growth can be attained in the competitive market. The positive culture in the workplace
also generates positivity among the employees which is one of the positive indication that states
that goals and objectives can be accomplished effectively and also in a proper manner. In the

It is recommended that management should offer effective training sessions to the
employees so that they can have proper understanding of the activities that are performed in the
workplace. The training should be given according to the experience and knowledge of the
employees as it is one of the best technique that can bring improvisation in the overall working
pattern of the employees. Through training the employees can get in-depth understanding of the
activities and the issue can be resolved with the low performance. Through training the weak
areas of the employees can also be improved, and it can be seen that through this it would be
easy for the organization to offer in-depth knowledge to the employees in relation to the
functions of the company. Training is known as the effective method that also helps in resolving
the issues related to lack of satisfaction or lack of motivation. It resolves the issues of the
employees and also provides them opportunity to share their views and opinions with the
management. So, it can be stated that this is one of the method that can assist in boosting the
overall outcome of the employees and can help in accomplishing the set goals and targets in the
