INTRODUCTION
Human Resource Management is understood as the department of any of the business
organisation which mainly focuses upon recruiting, selecting process. It is very crucial
department in any of the company because selection of right candidate can help the organisation
to perform better in any of the situation (Luxen, 2018). Also, process is HRM is continuous
where main agenda is to keep motivating the employees to improve their performance for the
purpose of accomplishing the goals. The prepared report is all about Old-bridge District Council.
This council is being managed by the group of four members. In order to obtain the opinion of
employees who are working, survey has been conducted which will help to maintain the records
for future improvement. On this basis of survey five key finds will be focus in this respective
file. By looking at the findings, initiatives will be taken for the purpose of bringing the changes
in the working environment.
MAIN BODY
1. Explain about the five different important key findings on which Lisa must focus. Also,
explain the importance of those finding for leading and managing the people at work.
In any of the organisation, working environment has the crucial role as it is the only
source which can tell that what company is going to earn profit or not. But, the important thing
which is needed to be kept in the mind is that management of any organisation can only succeed
in that respective situation where they are able to take some of the opinion from employees. It is
one of the way through which any of the company can improve their performance and even
option is available with company to achieve better results (Renwick, Redman and Maguire,
2013). In the same manner, Old-bridge District have conducted the survey where they were
benefited as necessary information were collected from employees. On the basis of conducted
survey, option is available to do the improvement on the positive side. Number of findings had
been done but among them some of the important finding where Lisa can focus more is
explained below:
Work to be rewarding: Whenever any of the employees work with in the premisses of
office or factory, they simply wants rewards for the efforts which they have shown towards the
organisation. Each of the employees have the concept that if they will be rewards for the work
then they can easily allow themselves to give more efforts towards the working environment of a

organisation in a positive manner. In the same way, survey shows that 62% of workers in Old-
bridge council are happy with rewards system in happy and even 13% of them are extremely
happy with the work. Looking at this, it can be judged that most of the employees are satisfied
with the policies of rewards but still it will be important for the HR department of Old-bridge
council to bring improvement so that positive results can be obtained. But, it is necessary to do
further changes so that remaining employees can become satisfied with this respective policy and
give more focus towards their work.
Pay and Benefits: In present scenario, people or employees are only satisfied with the
policies of pay benefits as it is the only way to motivate the employees. If in any of the situation,
employees are not satisfied with the pay and benefits policies of company then in that particular
situation the working team doesn't want to show their efforts towards the work. In case of Old-
bridge council, while conducting the survey they had found that only 21% of the people where
satisfied with the pay and benefit of the company (Cascio, 2015). It clearly indicates that
improvements is required in this particular field as after certain period of time it will create the
problem for the business organisation as they will not be able to sustain the employees for long
time durations.
Training and development opportunities: Business organisation can only perform
better in that particular situation where they are able to give proper training and development
program to their employees. It is the way to raise the standards of employees to perform better in
any of the situation. It is the way which can improve the decision making process of the
organisation. While conducting the survey within Old-bridge District council they eventually
found that only 33% of employees are satisfied with the process of organisation which they
adopt for providing training to the employees. Here, new plans and policies must be made by the
Lisa and her department to improve the training process so that they can improve the level of
productivity within the organisation.
Change Management: It is the way by which company is able to adopt the changes with
the best possible manner. It is directly connect with the way which organisation perform on daily
basis. After having the detail analysis within the organisation, it was found that the employees of
Old-bridge Council is not satisfied with the way that management uses for adopting any of the
changes (Mondy and Martocchio, 2016). There were only 15% of employees were satisfied
which means Lisa is required to understand that they must bring on the changes. Here, some of

the important decision is required to be taken by management where they can adjust the working
condition so that changes can be adopted in the best possible manner.
Job security: It simply means that employees must be provided with the security that
their job is secured while work within the organisation. It is one of the way which helps to make
employees understand that organisation is working as per the requirement of organisation and
even their mistakes are also not considered in number of situations (Kehoe and Wright, 2013).
When survey was conducted within Old-bridge Council, it was found that employees are not
happy with job security process. Only 36% of the employees were satisfied with the working
condition of an organisation. So, it will be crucial for Lisa to look after the matter and according
to that they must try that how they can ensure their employees that organisation will support
them while they are connected with them.
Above mentioned finding are the most important finds which Lisa is required to
considered. This are the points where if company will work by giving their efforts then in that
particular situation they will be able to perform better and even employees will get the
opportunity to show their talent. Although, this are the points where company is required to give
their major focus but in order to improve this particular area, it will be necessary that some of the
initiatives must be taken so that solutions can be obtained in it.
2. Discuss three initiatives that Lisa must develop for the purpose of improving the concern
related to findings. Also, evaluate the suggestion.
In Old-bridge District Council, they had conducted the survey and on that particular
basis, it was important for the company to bring the changes. As five finds were given the
highest level of importance and on that particular basis, it will be necessary for Lisa Porter to
take quick decision which will allow themselves to prepare the plans and policies through which
better decision can taken. By looking at the situation, some of the necessary decision which is
required to taken by Lisa are explained in detail.
Training and Guidance: It is the area where company is required to work as it gives the
guidance that how any of the employee is required to work within the premisses of a company.
Training and guidance will be the way which will allow the employees to adjust themselves to
work in any of the situation (Southern, 2017). This will be the initiatives which will cover the
two different problems which are being faced by the employees. Firstly, they able to tackle with
problem of change management and training and development process will also become

effective. This will directly the company in attaining the better results. In Old-bridge Council,
Lisa will be benefited from this particular initiatives and even it will allow the organisation to
make their employees satisfied.
Work Analysis: It is the way where employees are judged on the basis of activity which
they performs with the organisation. If in any of the situation employees are unable to work as
per the requirement then in that particular situation them feedback can be provided to improve
their performance. It is the way through which employees will be able to improve their
performance and on that particular basis decision benefits can be provided (Emerick, 2016). This
will be second initiatives on which company must look for so that befits regarding pay and
rewards can be provided to employees. In simply words the employees who are facing the
problem in the field of pay and benefits as well as work to be rewarded can be improved. This
can be the way to improve the performance and satisfaction level of employees.
Preparation to adopt changes: Any of the firm can only compete with any of the
rivalries in that particular situation where they are able to adopt the changes. It is required to
understand that changes in the field of commercial sectors is very important if competition is
required to be given. In the same manner, Lisa Porter must understand the requirement of
situation that changes will be required and in that particular situation it will be important for
them to understand that introduction to latest technology and machineries is the way to bring
changes in the organisation (Türkyılmaz, 2016). As Lisa has adopted to training & guidance and
adoption policies both can be the combination to improve the way. Even this will allow the
employees to adopt the changes in best manner.
These are some of the initiatives on which company should work where they will get the
chance to develop suitable plans and policies. It is the way through which changes of obtaining
the better result will increase within the organisation. Here, company will be able to decided that
what they are required to do which will be related to adaptation of changes. In short, this
initiatives will help to improve the profitability of the company.

“You Said, We Listen” is the theme on which Old-bridge Council wants to work. It is
necessary for the business organisation to work as per the opinion of employees so that working

they are required to perform in any of the situation. Employees will get the chance to adopt the
changes and even their performance will improve (Špadina, 2019). As training will be provided
to employees so they will know that what their requirement is and how they are required to
perform for the purpose of accomplishing the goals of an organisation. This initiatives will try to
motivate the employees they just want their employees to perform better without having any of
the fear within the organisation. Also, employees will have proper training, which will raise the
level of standards which will allow them to secure their job.

CONCLUSION
After collecting the detail information, it is easy to understand that goals of an
organisation can be accomplished only in the situation where employees are able to perform in a
specific manner. Any of the association has the option to improve employees performance only
in the situation where they does have the suitable working team in HR department. In any of the
organisation certain initiatives are required to be taken for the purpose of doing improvement in
the working environment but it is necessary to understand that it can be only done if management
is able to find out the loop holes which does have in their working team.
