Letter Writing
• Despite high-speed technologies in the modern era,
writing a letter can never go out of fashion (How, 2018)
• Sending letters have evolved from delivering them
through messengers to sending through postal services
• The modern generation is less familiar with the concept
of letter writing
• Despite of less people writing letters, businesses and
private citizens continue to use letter as a medium of
communication (Wilkes, 2016)

Radio
• Radio is the wireless version of a telegraph (Carlson,
2016)
• Invented by Nikola Tesla in 1897 with its 1st broadcast in
1919 from Tuft University (Petrescu, et. al., 2017)
• Radio has been the oldest but still a strong medium of
communication mostly in rural areas.

Telephone
• Alexander Graham Bell invented the Telephone in 1876
making it possible for people to communicate at long
distances (Grosvenor and Wesson, 2016)
• Telephones have ruled the world from a very long time
and are still popular modes of communication
• The telephones evolved from use of manual dialing
operators to self-dialing operators (Arogyaswamy and
Hunter, 2018).

Mobile Phones/Smartphones
• The first mobile phone was invented in the early 1980’s.
Motorola become the first company to launch a mobile
phone (Linge and Sutton, 2016)
• Advent of technological changes has evolved the mobile
phones since its inception
• Mobile phones have now surpassed desktops and many
other old devices of communication

Laptops
• A portable computer that comes into different sizes and
functions the same as a desktop
• Internet access enables the use of various social media
applications alongside webcam in Laptops (Chung and
Koo, 2015)

Virtual Assistant
• The rapid growth of personal virtual assistant usage has
increased in the recent years.
• Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant in mobile devices, car
systems and stereos have become immensely popular

• Being multifunctional, these can now perform tasks with
voice commands and gestures
