Introduction
Change control is the organized method which is used for changing all the changes related to
the product and system. The main motive of the change control is to confirm that there is no
other changes are made which are already documented. Here in this assessment the major
discussion on the change control and to identify the process which is involved in the change
management according to the case study. There is an Omani government which is going to
expand their aviation and transportation infrastructure and this need to change management
which is to be discussed further in this assessment.

According to the case study the government of Omani is going to implement the strategy that
is for increasing and modernising there aviation and also the transportation infrastructure in
Oman. This project includes the expansion and growth for the two international airports in
Oman in which one airport is in Muscat (the capital of Oman) and other is in Salalah (the
second largest city in Oman). The main objective of this development is for the future growth
of the sector of tourism and also in business sectors (Hornstein, 2015). The process which is
evolved in the management of the new expansion for aviation and transportation are as:
This could be done in three stages-
Design development: this is the stage in which the team work with the staff engineer
and help to provide the design development material and the solutions for the design
problems on a regular basis.
Detailed design: in this phase of the work the overall designed is to be included for
the completion of the specifications, and also to specify the drawing s that is
compulsory for the engineer's approval for the final design. The engineers try to
produce the issues for the construction and also other designs which are essential for
the construction.
Final design: this phase is responsible for the approval of the construction work
which is issued by the engineer’s after watching the design, this is the final stage from
where the construction may going to start.

time, cost and quality and the techniques to manage them.
The main reason for the development of the International airport in Muscat is that because it
is the largest project which going to be done in the history of Oman’s (Donnelly, et. al.,
2015). The major changes which are required in the Muscat international airport are to
enhance the passenger capacity of the Muscat Airport so that they can serve a number of
passengers in the future. At the present time the this International Airport has the capacity to
accommodate approximately 12 million passengers in the year and this has to be expanded
with the following stages of 24 million, 36 million and 48 million individually. There are
many other services which are also going to enhance such as baggage handling, and also the
IT system at the airport.
The major scope of this project is to develop the three new terminals for the passenger which
features on the three landings north, south and west and where airplanes will port and also
from where all the passengers will board and also get off. The main contract is to be done for
the development, design and for the construction of the PTB which is known as passenger
terminal building. The base design for this construction had started in the year 2005. And
before the construction stared a detailed and well-designed coordinated package was given by
the contractor.
The technique which is used for managing the construction is also well designed because
there are several entities in this work and they all are assigned with their respective roles of
work such as ministry transport, and the communications, general and safety and other
