Background
The local Nelson business, Great Education Books is an education and other text book
seller that is providing the necessary books for the tertiary institutions and secondary schools.
Currently, it is selling books from an offline office situated at town. This is resulting
enhancement in the investments and thus, increasing the price of the products. The shop can
minimize the cost of enhancement and thus, products can be made available to the consumers
at lower price through migrating the offline shop into an online service. The web store will
allow the consumers to buy the books at much lower price. The purpose of this document is
to demonstrate the processes and functions involved in the web store. This paper will provide
an insight on the different functions and processes involved in the proposed system. The
accounting system will smoothen the function and processes of sales. It will also ensure the
payment mode using the accounting system and keeping track of all the operations ongoing
during the transaction.
Assumptions
It is being assumed that the system will wok efficiently and there will be not any bugs
or glitches in the system.
The users will be well 8inderstood and informed about the processing of the
accounting system and it will be fulfilling the needs and requirements of the users.
The maintenance will be managed by the IT team through regular audit and
monitoring.
The database will have enough capacity and stored data that can allow the smooth
functioning of the Great Education Books webstore.

User and Their Needs
Students: the students will need to buy the books from the store through registering
the webstore. The students would be allowed to register into the system in an easy manner
and allowing them to purchase books in much better and efficient way.
Accountants: The proposed accounting system would be capable of managing all the
necessary operations those were previously being done manually. The online system should
be allowing the accountant to track the records related to the transaction and management of
the payment related services.
Administrator: the administrator would be allowed to handle all the operational
activities related to the exchange of the books and payment between the user and the
webstore. The authorization and authentication process will also be handled by the
administrator.

The above flow chart describes the sale process of the webstore for great education
book. The user will have to be registered in the systems’ database and they will be allowed to
search for the book using the ISBN number and other keywords3. Once, the book is found,
the user would be allowed to make the payment for the selected product and thus, after
making the payment the books could be sent to the logistics with a delivery address where the
product will be delivered.

The above context diagram explains the different6 sections and branches in which the
newly developed webstore will be functioning and managing the related operations4. There
will be six branches in which the context of the system will be functioning in manner to
manage the functioning and operation of the entire system.
