The growth and development in technology have certainly initiated several changes in
every aspect of society including the education system. Online education is one of the modern
innovations of the 21st century that is increasing rapidly today (Arkorful andb Abaidoo 35).
Although there is a certain emphasis on the benefits of traditional education, online education is
taking the lead. Education institutions are the making effort to turn the classrooms in digital
classrooms along with changes in the teaching process, assignments and researching processes.
The essay aims to argue that online education is effective than traditional education due to the
fact it saves money and time, and more people can take classes confidently.
Online education is certainly more useful as it provides potential increases the time of

more ways to gain an education. The online education offers the opportunity of improving

As students begin their course, they become more familiar with computer skills as well. The
participation skills are an additional point for the students. This basic knowledge such as sharing
documents online, completing online training sessions, translating the courses, incorporating
audio and videos into the assignments and many more are skills that are learned without any
additional courses. These help the students in the professional fields. There are several
universities that even send free laptops t students till their courses get over.
According to Jeffrey et al., although there is abundant evidence that supports online
education, there are few critics that say that student cannot learn effectively if they do not meet
the teachers. Firstly, it is important to mention that since online education is associated with
technology and digital devices, the student cognitive overload serves as the most common
limitation of online education. Many students get overwhelmed with the large numbers of
activities they have to do in order to get access to online education and to get an online
education. Students have the tendency to underestimate the impact that face to face interaction
may have with the instructor. Lack of direct interaction with the teacher is certainly a big
disadvantage (Furió et al. 190). While a student is learning directly from a teacher they can guide
and direct the student on the basis of their body language. Direct interaction with the teacher
provides the student with the confidence of obtaining authentic learning. For any specific issues,
students can approach the teacher and get the problem solved these cannot be done in a similar
manner with online education (Jones 227).
Online education has become one of the most critical parts of the education system.
Student across the globe are opting for online education due to the advantages associated with it.
