INTRODUCTION
Online food ordering is a process in which customer uses to order the food from local
restaurant through a web page or application (Cheng,Chang and Chen, 2021). The delivering
systems are continuously changing and also impacting the food industry differently. The online
ordering is being evolution of home delivering models in this modern world. Uber eats is an
online ordering and delivering company through which customer can check the menu, provide
ratings, pay for the food. Just Eat limited is British online food delivering service provider in UK
also allow takeaway service. This research proposal will evaluate the theoretical and conceptual
concept which will help in the respecting research.
Research questions
Q1. How has online delivery system evolved in UK, its popularity and future and comparison of
Uber Eat’s practices in UK with other location?
Q2. What are the prevalent online food ordering systems and models on a global level and which
are their positive and negative attributes?
Literature review
According to the Sjahroeddin (2018), the online ordering system is a system which is
effective method for the customers in these restaurants and other cafe uses to take the orders and
accepts the payment of the order through digital platforms or through delivering person. This
service get started in the year of 1995 through a web page named as “waiter”. Author further
explained that this business is continuously growing in the market and just eat is also being one
of the popular application who uses to offer the service of quick delivery from the nearby
restaurant with proper packaging and safety. The customer can effectively enjoy the meal when
it is being delivered. This industry is more effective and generating more profit because this is
basically more comfortable to the customers. The customer data is being more effective managed
by Uber eats and this practise also help to compete more effectively.

Whereas Al Abid and Karim (2017), argued that the online ordering is effective in
perspective of customer yet when it look from delivering person side then it is being dangerous
task. Whenever the customer place any order then the delivery person have to wait till the order
is being prepared. Whether the climate is hot or cold the person who have to deliver the food
have to stand for it. This also increase the expenses of the customer and also change the eating
habits. Sometimes just eat and the delivery provider also face conflicts due to inefficiency of one
another. The online ordering also not have any replacement schemes so it is being not that much
effective when customer orders the food.
As per perspective of Shaw And et. al., (2018), online ordering process is more beneficial
for the customers because it offers different discounts and coupons which make the deal cheaper.
The applications of food delivering services like Just eat eats also gives cashback and money
saving schemes which make it more attractive. This industry is growing continuously and in
these days there are more advance service available when the customer order its products online.
For example the delivering time is being lesser, more effective offers and discounts coupon
available. There are around more than 40 percentage of adults are ordering online from different
restaurant nearby their areas (Sadeghi, 2019). In the 21 century there are almost 20 to 30
percentage of business are being online and Uber eats is being one of the leading brand in this
service. Yet the one of the vital drawback of online food delivery is that when the customer order
online then people are not prefer restaurant and the environment become empty.
The Sadeghi (2019), state that the as Uber eats and just eat are the effective service
provider in the Britain market meanwhile Zomato and Swiggy are also leading services
companies operating in Indian market. These companies are trying to give their best experiences
to their customers, so they are also provided premium membership in that they are not charging
any kind of delivering charges. Swiggy is one of the leader service brand in the Indian market
offering different benefits to its customers. These companies are trying to give lots of offers on
daily basis or weekly basis so that customers are attracted towards the company services. The
services assist the user to order its food online and save its time. When the customers of Zomato
and Swiggy uses to Oder the food item then this application also provide information about the
better option and offers list that buyer can avail from. Indian market is totally covered with this
two service provider as Uber eats and just eat have leader in Britain market.

Research methodology
This is a process or tool used to identify, select, analyse the information and process
regarding a particular subject.
Research method: There are basically two types of research qualitative and quantitative
research, qualitative research can be expressed and present theoretically through different
concepts and experiences (Murray and et. al., 2021). With the help of this the research can assist
to gather in deep regarding the topic. Whereas, quantitative research is numerical presentation of
the information to investigate the approaches. In this research scholar will make use of
qualitative research because scholar have to understand the topic deeply and more effectively.
For this they will take different interviews and also ask open question and many more (Al Abid
and Karim, 2017).
The approaches are also being used in this to research more effectively as this are the
plan and the procedures for the research to analysis, interpret and collect the data. There are two
type of approaches which are inductive and deductive where inductive approach are reasoning
aim at developing the theories whereas deductive approach is reasoning its objective in analysing
existing theories. For this research the researcher will make use of inductive approach as this are
more suitable in the qualitative research. As the particular research is going to done on specific
topic so this approach is more suitable in this case.
Data source: The data source is basically origin of the data as where it came from, there are two
types of data collection source primary and secondary in this primary sources are more accurate
because they are providing the information which is raw, and they are find out for the first time
(Martins and et. al., 2017). Whereas secondary source of data are second hand and which are
commentary for others as well. For this research the scholar will use secondary source of data
collection. For the secondary source the researcher will make use of literature reviews of
different authors and article as well to know what are the possibilities of the topic.
The data analysis is done to inspect the information, transforming, cleaning in this there
are two type of analysis that are used in the research thematic and SPSS tool. The thematic is
more suitable for the inspecting the qualitative information in these themes are being developed

and used (Sjahroeddin, 2018). The SPSS analysis is effective tool to resolve the statistical data

Relavant models
The order only model: This model is being way of connection between the customers and the
restaurant with the help of online platform (Hwang, Cho and Kim, 2019). The main aim of this is

Order and delivery model: In this restaurant, delivery as well as customers all three are covered

Finding: The finding are basically the outcome of doing the activities in the research. From the
literature review it has been found that the online food delivering business are growing in the
international market and people are also feel more convenient to order their food online. In the
beginning of online food delivering services are not that much effective because people think the

online food is highly in trend. The food delivering practises are being one of the essential service
for the people, and they need it must. From the review it has been also identified that online
delivering of food are also working as same as food industry so in the pas few years it is
characterized as the part of food industry. Further the online food delivering are having number
of benefits like more convenient, assist in knowing more about market, appropriate in bad
weathers for customers. Yet there are some drawbacks as well the customer have to wait till the
order not being reached to them, it is comparatively more expensive. When Uber eats and just eat
business are compared to Indian market then Zomato and Swiggy are the market leader to
provide the online food delivering services.
This also find out that the there are different technologies which are yet to develop in the
near future of food ordering services (Ahn, 2020). It is also identified that the online food
