Online Evaluation System for Healthcare in Sultanate of Oman Project

This project presents the design, development, and implementation of an Online Evaluation System (OES) tailored for the healthcare sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The system aims to facilitate seamless interaction and communication between patients, medical staff, supervisors, and administrators. The OES incorporates features such as online consultations, appointment scheduling, feedback mechanisms (complaints, suggestions, and questionnaires), and a payment module. The project encompasses a thorough literature review of healthcare systems in Oman and online evaluation methodologies. The research methodology includes interviews with patients and medical staff to gather requirements and assess user needs. The system utilizes ASP.NET for web development, incorporates user roles with specific functionalities (admin, supervisor, medical staff, and patient), and employs a prototype modeling approach. The project also details the system's architecture, database design, project management lifecycle (including work breakdown structure, Gantt chart, and network diagram), and critical appraisal. The project's objective is to enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare services through technological advancements, addressing challenges in communication and patient experience within the Omani healthcare landscape. The project also covers the system requirement specification, project management life cycle, project schedule, and critical appraisal.

Online Evaluation System is a technological that is designed to help
the ease of interaction and communication between patients and
healthcare providers in Oman. One can be able to use OES to consult
the physician, book appoint, check his schedule, offer feedback on the
services obtained. Communicate with other patients or people sharing
his problem as well as getting updates about the healthcare practice.
One can consult his/her physician online without visiting the office of
the physician physically. The system will have a payment module
where one will be able to offer payment or complete other online
transactions. The payments will be done through the use of master
card. This dissertation will focus on the designing, development and
implementation of OES.
As we are preparing a system on Online Evaluation System lets first see what does the
word healthcare stands for, Health care (healthcare in American English), refers to the
treatment and management of illness, and the preservation of health through services
offered by the medical, dental, pharmaceutical, clinical laboratory sciences (in vitro
diagnostics), nursing, and allied health professions. Health care embraces all the goods
and services designed to promote health, including “preventive, curative and palliative
interventions, whether directed to individuals or to populations “Health care systems
are designed to meet the health care needs of target populations. There are wide
varieties of health care systems around the world. In some countries, the health care
system has evolved and has not been planned, whereas in others, governments, trade
unions, charities, have made a concerted effort religious, or other co-ordinate bodies to
deliver planned health care services targeted to the populations they serve. However,
health care planning has often been evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
