It begins with an understanding of the background, client profile, and their operational challenges, such as managing data and attracting clients. The proposal clearly defines the project's purpose, which is to create a system to address these challenges, and outlines its scope, objectives, and exclusions. The application will feature room booking, customer reviews, and room rating based on classes and location. The project start-up plan includes assumptions, constraints, and deliverables, with the primary deliverable being an online hotel booking system using HTML, CSS, and PHP. The project also includes a schedule, budget, resource allocation, and meeting schedules for planning, defining, designing, development, testing, and deployment phases. The proposal also addresses ethical considerations related to resource and material usage, ensuring quality and preventing misuse of software and hardware. 2ONLINE HOTEL BOOKING APPLICATION
Understanding about the background
The incorporation of the online hotel booking application can be very much beneficial
for both the internal and the external stakeholders of commercial establishments. There are
diverse challenges face by the hotel owners in terms of managing the huge amount of
business data during the peak season (Ozturk et al. 2015). Managing resources like time is
one of the most serious concern for the management team of the online hotels. Attracting the
potential clients and capturing the quality leads are the other challenges faced by the
management team of online hotels. Retaining the loyal customers can also be a source of
concern for the managers of online hotels.
Client Profile and their operation
There are diverse categories of clients associated with online hotels and maintaining
each of the data coming from the clients is a huge source of concern for the top level
management team of online hotels (Lien et al. 2015). Each of the operations of the clients
includes identification of the hotel according to their chosen parameters like location, choice
of transactions and availability (Pitchayadejanant et al. 2019). Each of these operations is
expected be done in an organized manner using this hotel booking application.
Purpose
The prime purpose of this project is the development of an online hotel booking
system which can help the clients to of this industry to address each of the discussed
challenges.
Scope
The main scope of this project is the development of a system which will be very
much useful for the consumers of the hotel industry as this automated system can be very
much useful to book any room in a hotel according to preferred choices (Gibbs, Gretzel and

Saltzman 2016). The front desk of each of the hotel can be easterly managed using the new
system.
Objective
Most of the essential business documents in terms of the folios, point of sale and
ledger can be calculated in an organized manner using the new system (He et al. 2017).
Exclusion
There are diverse categories of exclusions associated with this project. System
deliverable, maintaining the logs, admin activities, and activity payment are the main
exclusions of this proposal.
Ethical issues of resources and materials
There are diverse categories of ethical issues associated with the development of this
project in terms of the quality of the end product, the process of the development of the
software and controlling the misuse of the software and hardware which are deployed in this
project.
Features of Website:
The website will have three main features such as rating and review from customers,
different between classes of room like single/ double based on that the rates of rooms and
location of room like see view, asked by the student.
The customer can post review for individual rooms. The customer can rate and review
only those rooms which they have booked. The rating can be given within one to five. The
rating will be shown as average number of ratings from customer.

These information will be visible in the initial product showcase as well as in the page
dedicated for every details.
The customer can see the location of the room. If the room is see view then a picture
of see view is available in the website.
Project start-up plan
The assumptions and constraints of this project will be described in this project start
up plan along with the justifications.
Assumptions
Anticipating the response coming from each of the source code which used in this
project was very much significant for the developers of this new system
Justification
The entire project life-cycle is maintained using the source codes which are used in
this software development project.
Constraints
There are diver categories of design constraints associated with this project in terms
of the selection of software which will be deployed in this project (Zhao et al. 2015). The
other constraint of this project is the management of the schedule of the project as there are
diverse categories of schedules associated with each of the constraints.
Justification
Each of these constraints has to be addressed in an organized manner to improve the
quality of the end product of this project.
