INTRODUCTION
As in the modern era it is very important for an individual to develop various skills in
order to be an effective and efficient. The academic study skill include the various aspect in
order to perform different functions. The learning and development plays a major role in the
academics for an individual. The academic study skills are made up of core skills such as
academic writing, presentations skill and referencing. It is very important for an individual to
develop the critical thinking, and reflective practice. This will help an individual to achieve goals
and objectives in an effective manner. This is the report which is based on the topic that due to
covid-19 the most of the universities are delivering the lectures online.(Mason, 2019). There is
discussion on this topic and understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the online
platforms. Further report will include the self reflection of the above part which has been
discussed and the challenges faced while conducting this project.

It has been identified that due to covid-19 there is the drastic changes which has been
observed around the world. The pandemic has impacted the several industries in which the
education industry was also impacted. The business organizations has faced several challenges
for which they were not prepared. The collages and universities have a impact because of the
coronavirus which has disturbed the learning for the students. Every collage and institution has
impacted and faced several challenges which can be related to the cash flow or management
issues. (Aubakirova, G.T. and Zeinullina, D.N., 2019). It has been identified that there was
psychological impact of the pandemic on every individual which has lead to adopt to the several
changes in the procedures for staff members, faculty, students. As due to the covid-19 the
distance learning took place and students cannot visit the campus. The social distancing was the
main thing which people were preferring at that time. The main aim of the individual was to be
safe and healthy. This has disturbed the lives of an individual and business organisation where
the organisations were not able to make money by delivering the products or services. The
institutions were shut down for several months and specially in the higher education the
universities and collages were shut down for the longer time which has a negative impact. This

has impacted the lives of a student and their learning and development. From the research it was
identified that pandemic has Brough the anxiety, stress and various kind of other heath issues
which has impacted the lives of people. As sitting at home was becoming difficult for the
students and their mind was not able to develop in a way which need to be developed in order to
have the proper education. (Aghaei, nd et.al., 2021)
The covid-19 has made a shift for the business institution to use the digital platforms. As
after the Covid-19 there was sudden rise in the digitalisation. The use of the digital platforms
was becoming the most effective for the various aspect. As there was rise in the digital platforms
because of the pandemic which has shifted the people from the traditional ways to modern ways.
In the modern era the digitalisation is becoming more important for every business aspect. In
context of the education industry, the various university started focusing on developing the
online lectures in order to teach students. (Mallah Nokandi, and et.al., 2022). It has been
identified that the covid- 19 was also not able to stop the learning and development. From the
various negative points there were also few positive ways of the e learning platforms for the
students and teachers. From this change within the education system where the teachers and
students needs to have certain skills in order to deliver the best and gain the knowledge. Because
of the online classes it is very important to understand the ned of the digitalisation according to
the development and new technologies around the world. The covid -19 has made people to shift
and adopt to the new technologies in every aspect. In order to be successful and achieve the goals
and objectives it is very essential to be aware of the ways in which the task can be made easier
and adaptable. The adoption of the online classes has driven to the new ways in which learning
can take place. (Lau, E.Y.H. and Lee, K., 2021)
It is very important for the teachers and students to develop various skills because of the
e- learning platforms. It is very important to adopt the new resources because the pandemic has
made the people to think in a different way. As every aspect as both positive and negative
impact. In the i=online classes it has been identified that the distance learning was taking a
boom. The main aspect of the online classes was that there is the huge impact within the
education sector. With the rise in the online learning it is becoming more important that the notes
and lectures which have been deliver within online and the large number of audience can be
gathered at one point of time. There are several benefits of the online classes. As there are
various platforms such as google meet, zoom meetings which help the teachers to conduct the

meeting online and gather students in order to take classes. Th use of the presentations, audio and
visual pictures can be considered which is very much impactful in leaning and developing the
mindset for students in a easy and quick manner. (Paudel, P., 2021)
It has been identified that for the business institutions the online was the only way in
order to deliver the various services to the people. As developing of the online classes which has
a great impact on the learning ways. Now a days people are preferring the distance leaning and
motivating the digitalisation ways in order to gain knowledge. In context of the universities
which are shifting their education system, for the physical classes to the online mode. It has been
analysed that the online classes has a boom after the pandemic which the various business
organisations are now promoting the online lectures over the physical lectures. A person sitting
in India can also take lectures from the abroad. This discarnate learning has made the task easier
for the individual in order to complete their studies. In the modern world the digitalisation and
use of the online resources is becoming more significant. As if it is consider din context of the
environment ways it has been analysed that online classes is more cost effective for the people
which can be more convenient. (Moser, K.M., Wei, T. and Brenner, D., 2021)
There are several advantages and disadvantages of the online classes which has been
delivered by the universities which are discussed below:
Advantages Efficiently- The online platforms and the leaning have helped the professors to deliver
the best and lessons to the students. In order to develop a lesson plan the teacher is able to
use several tool such has videos, presentations which has a positive impact over the
students in their leaning and development. By using the other resources apart from the
text books the professors are becoming more efficient in delivery the lessons to their
students. (Ayedee, N. and Kumar, A., 2020) Accessibility of time and place- The another benefit of the online classes is that it has
allowed students to attend classes from any location. this has allowed the universities and
collages to reach out to the extensive network of students, instead of being restricted
because of the geographical boundaries. As the online classes can also be recorded and
archived for the future reference. This has allowed students to take access at any time and
from any of the place.

 Affordability- The online classes have benefited for the both institutions and students in
reducing the financial cost. it has been identified that the online classes is considered as
the most cost effective than physical learning. This is because as the online classes
reduces the cost of the students meals, transportation, etc. this is also reducing the cost of
the paper where the notes can be provided online. This is beneficial to the environment
by creating the paperless learning. (Medrano, and et.al., 2021)
 Suits a variety of learning styles- As it has been identified that every individual has the
different learning journey and different learning styles. Some of the students are able to
learn effectively with visual contents, while some of the students might prefer to learn
from audio the online learning where there are several options for the students can be
personalised in various ways. This helps in creating the best way to learning environment
which is suited to the needs of every student.
Disadvantages Inability to focus on screens- it has been identified that this is one of the biggest
challenge for many of the students where they ned to focus on the screen for the longer
period of time. There are several sites which can make distraction for the students due to
the online classes. It is also imperative for the teachers to make the online classes
encouraging and interactive without physical presence. Technology issues- the internet connectivity is the another disadvantage of the online
classes. As a internet connect has been grown within the past years but since in the small
towns and cities the speed of the internet is a big challenge for the people. There can be
lack of continuity for the both teacher and students if there is problem of the internet
connectivity.(Christian, D.D., McCarty, D.L. and Brown, C.L., 2021) Sense of isolation- As it is identified that peer leaning is effective where the students can
lean a lot being in the company of their peers. As the online classes where there is
minimal physical interactions between the students and the teachers. this often results in a
sense of isolation for the students.
 Manage screen time- As many of the parents are concerned with the heath issues because
of the screen time due to the online classes. The screen time is one of the biggest concern
and this is the drawback of the online learning. The online learning can develop the bad

postures which can lead to physical problems due to staying hunched in front of the
screen for longer period of time.
Apart from discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the online classes which is ten into
consideration after the pandemic. It has been analysed from the experiences that in the coming
years the use of the online and digital platforms will be more effective for the students and as
well as teachers. The online facilities has its own advantages for the students and teachers. As
students can reuse and watch the recoded lectures again an again for an effective learning and
development. (Carrillo, C. and Flores, M.A., 2020.)
Self reflection
From the above project I would like to evaluate that this was an interesting project where
I was able to develop the understanding of the e learning platforms and the various things which
has been driven because of the covid-19. I was able to evaluate myself on the various skills. It is
very important for me to understand on the topic where I conducted a research based study for
the development of my academic learning. There were few challenges which I faced at the
beginning of this project. I am a person who is much oriented towards my work and I want
everything should be perfect. There were few skills in which I was lacking where one of the skill
was time management. In order to complete this project I realised that it is very important for me
to develop time management skill in order to complete the task within the time period. The
another challenging aspect for me was the research skill where I need to develop this skill in an
effective and efficient manner. The research skill plays a major role in developing a study. In
order to develop this project I was weak at analysing the various topic. Also, the information
technology is the most important skill which I need to develop. The various skills sets are
required for the effective academic marks for me. Also, I faced difficulties in arranging my
matter and content in an effective way. In order to research about the topic there were various
difficulties which I faced where I was not able to understand which is the authentic content and
what to consider and what to not.
Apart from the challenges I enjoyed a lot doing this project where I was able to gain the
knowledge of the topic and I was able to understand what I need to improve and which kind of
skills I need to develop in order to be an effective and efficient. There are various academic skills
which I need to develop in order to perform better and score high marks. I was able to identify
that it is very important for me to develop research skills so that I am able to conduct a good

research for my further projects and for my career growth. In today's scenario it is very important
to conduct an effective research in order to analyse the various factors and aspects related to the
topic. As I am good at the communication and writing skills where I was able to write content in
an effective way. This project has enhanced my skills in developing a good content. I was able to
understand the impact of the various aspect because of the covid-19 where the universities has to
deliver the online lectures. I was able to understand and gain knowledge of the various digital
platforms which can be used in order to learn in an effective way.
From this project I am able to identify that it is very essential for me to develop-the
various areas of improvement where I can pay attention in order to develop my career in an
effective and efficient way. It is very essential that I focus on the IT skills in order to perform the
task in an effective manner. Also time management skills I most important for me in order to
compete my work on time. This is the project which helped me a lot in gaining the knowledge of
the other topics and the impact of the covid -19 over the universities. There is the wide impact of
the online classers to the teacher and as well as for the students. In order to develop the e
learning in an effective way it is essential that I focus on the information technology skills and
able to gain the knowledge of using the resources in an effective manner. It is very important for
me to analyse the different perspective to perform better. This project has helped me in
developing my career goals where I am able to perform the task effectively. also I am able to
develop my writing skills through this project. As the topic which has ben taken into
consideration is at boom and it is essential for me to gain the better understanding of the impact
of covid-29 over the online ways. This helped me in learning the ways in which e- learning can
be conducted in a effective and efficient way.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that academic study skills is required for an
individual where the individual need to focus on the development of various skills in order to be
effective and efficient. The topic which has been taken into consideration for this report was the
due to the covid-19 , universities is taking the online classes and the impact of the online classes
with its advantages and disadvantages. It has been identified that there is the drastic changes
which has been observed after the pandemic in every sector. Specially within the institutions
every universalist and collages are preferring to deliver the online classes because there is fear of
the virus in the minds of the people. There are various advantages and disadvantages of the

there were few challenges which I have faced in order to develop this project in effectiveness
manner. Apart from this I need to be develop various skills in order to perform better and for the
career growth and development.
