Report
AI Summary
This report delves into the application of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) in online classes. It examines the benefits of using VLEs, such as creating immersive learning experiences and enhancing student engagement, and the challenges associated with their implementation, including the need for student and teacher adaptation and the limitations of direct interaction. The report explores the use of institutionally supported technology within VLEs, encompassing features like blogs, assignment submission forums, and discussion forums. It also highlights the advantages of these systems, such as data storage and accessibility, as well as the disadvantages, such as the need for technical training and potential difficulties in adjusting to the immersive learning approach. The report concludes by summarizing the key aspects of VLEs and their impact on the online learning environment.

2VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IN ONLINE CLASSES
Answer 1
Virtual Learning Environments are online resources that helps to set up the
environment where the students can immerse themselves into the world of their subject they
are learning in the online classes. Hence, as per my ambition, if I become a teacher someday
and provide online classes to students, I will adopt this emerging technology to involve my
students in the learning course effectively. A student needs to have a high concentration
while attending the online classes. Thus, this technology will help the students to get the feel
of the subject without actually being in the environment (Vaidyanathan 2018). For instance, a
student learning about Milky Way can float in the space with the help of VR headgear while
one explains him the theory in detail.
Answer 2
Various technologies support the online classes to be carried out efficiently nowadays.
However, I have chosen Virtual Learning Environment technology as an online resource that
I will implement in my classes. This technology is quite advanced and ubiquitous in nature
for which I will be using this technology in my future classes. There are interactive white
boards by which the students can interact with the online teachers. However, the teacher
cannot explain numerous times in online classes. Hence, the Virtual Learning environments
are much more helpful in these cases. According to Ajis et al. (2017), the realistic
environments created help the students in immersive learning and have an in-depth
understanding about their learning module.
Answer 3
The Virtual Learning Environment in my future classes will be an Institutionally
Supported Technology where the unsubscribed members cannot get a chance to access it. It

will be a closed system that will incorporate different other technologies such as blogs,
information storage, assignment submission forums, discussion forums and so on (Santos,
Batista and Marques 2019). My online institution will ensure any kind of technical and
training help regarding the usage of these virtual environments. The most advantageous part
is that the enrolled students and teachers can access all the technological systems from any
place by just using a password. If the students want to reuse their online classes for revision
or use it in some other class, the IT department can transfer it without losing the data. By
incorporating Institutionally Supported Technology, the teachers can track the records and
performance of the students such that they can help the students with high-graded virtual
learning environments for better understanding.
However, there are certain disadvantages too in using Virtual Learning Environments
since these are emerging technologies and will take time to spread awareness amongst the
students. The primary concern is that the students as well as the teachers can find it
problematic to adjust with this kind of immersive learning approach and find it complex to
get started with the environment (Casanova, Price and Avery 2018). Moreover, if a student
still has problems in adjusting with the virtual environment, a teacher might want to explain it
to the student by his own. However, that will not be possible with Virtual Learning
Environments.
