The purpose of this discussion is to analyze the issues that are faced by the students in
terms of getting good marks in their assessments and manage this process of the online teaching
and learning properly (Dabbagh & Kitsantas, 2012). The online teaching and learning program
has become one of th most integral components of the education methods in today’s world. So, it
has been growing and people are getting used to it. Definitely there are some advantages of using
this process in the modern times. However, some disadvantages of this process have been
identified by experts as well. They have pointed out that time management is definitely one of
the most prominent problems that are faced by both the students and the instructors. As this is
totally virtual process, the lack f face to face communication is the main problem in this context.
Both the students and the instructors will need to be on the same page before they
proceed with the online teaching and learning process. The locations of the both these people
might be different but the process has to go on indeed (Dabbagh & Kitsantas, 2012). To cope
with the problems, the students should always make all the things clear to their instructors about
what they want. Then only the instructors will provide them with the correct instructions and
process of learning in a proper manner. There are several people who have not been able to
complete their studies because of certain problems. This is why they will look to complete their

studies after completing their works in office. They have to manage their time accordingly by
setting the routine. In this article, the authors have provided a proper way of maintaining the time
so the students can focus on all the things as they wish.
The authors of this journal article have discussed about this issue and they want the
things to be in the perfect place. The overall importance of the personal learning environment has
been discussed in this journal article in a beautiful manner (Dabbagh & Kitsantas, 2012). They
have highlighted the fact that this kind of online teaching and learning is basically a self-
regulated learning process. This is why it becomes much difficult for both the sides to
communicate. If the teachers or instructors do not help out the students to manage their time
properly, it becomes a great difficulty for them from all the aspects (Dabbagh & Kitsantas,
2012). However, the self-regulated learning process asks for more responsibility from the
perspective of the learners as well. They should always make the right choice of taking help from
the proper resources so they can approach the instructors when they are in need of help dire help.
This journal article is quite an interesting one to observe its similarities with the concept
of the heuristic statement. The online instructors are there to teach several courses in several
institutions. This is why they have very little time to waste. So, they must aim at completing the

help the instructors in different manners so the instructors understand the value of distinction

the opinion that this kind of teaching is not available in all parts of the world.
Therefore, the popularity of these courses is limited only within the developed countries.

of these factors. Apart from the time management issue, these factors are also distant challenges

capabilities and lack of time. However, this online teaching program will surely help the students
