Report
AI Summary
This report provides an overview of mobile application prototyping, focusing on the design and development of an online library app. It explores two primary prototyping approaches: low fidelity and high fidelity. Low-fidelity prototyping involves creating simple, testable artifacts to gather early feedback, such as designing the login and registration process with password field and user name constraints. High-fidelity prototyping focuses on integrating all critical components to create a functional application, including search, upload, download, and query functionalities, ensuring seamless information flow. The report emphasizes the importance of prototypes in refining and validating designs to deliver a user-friendly product. The report concludes that prototyping is a crucial process for testing concepts and processes before full-scale development. References to relevant books and journals are included.

Introduction
Prototyping refers to experimental process in which design teams can execute ideas with
the tangible forms from paper to the digital format. Teams are accountable for building up the
prototypes of different degrees of fidelity with intent to capture design concepts as well as test
the users (Camburn and et. al., 2017). The mobile application is considered where users can
upload as well as download the books as per the requirements. This report will provide an insight
into prototyping for online library application.
Prototyping for mobile application
The concepts associated with different associated with applications will be illustrated
through the usage of prototyping. In this case while designing, two concepts are being utilised,
they are low and high fidelity. Here, the term fidelity implies level of details along with
functionalities that are being involved within the prototype. This can vary depending upon
visuals, commands, contents and interactivity as well as many more concepts (Bowey and
Mandryk, 2017). Here, the application that is considered is online library where users have
liability to upload as well as download the books but only the authorised and authenticated users
can do this. It is important that while prototyping it has to be identified that how closely an
individual matches with the end results.
Low fidelity: This involves simple as well as low technological concept where the
rationale is to turn the ideas within the testable artifacts. This means collection along with
analysis of feedback within the early stages. Here, the registration and login process are the
initial stages so the prototype will be formulated. Like 8 characters will eb used within the
password field and user name must not be the same. Once user is being registered then they will
be authenticated for ensuring that credentials true and here different details will also be analysed.
Next time when users enter into the application they can simply make use of those credentials to
get into the system.
High fidelity: This is highly interactive as well as interactive aspect where firm is about
to reach to the final conclusions like the end product. In this case all the critical assets and
components will be integrated and developed (Christoforakos and Diefenbach, 2018). Like in
low fidelity the registration phase as created and login phase also, now they both needs to be
integrated within the single application or a platform so that they can work in together not like

different entities. The next step is users need to search the book, update, upload, download and
make queries. These all have to be done individually but they cannot function uniquely. This,
high fidelity will be used so that an application can be developed completely by integrating the
different services or options that are being provided to the users. This implies that, it is critical
that the flow of information must be maintained through which it can be ensured that the
rationale of developing a mobile application can be attained (Suleri and et. al, 2019).
Conclusion
From above, it can be concluded that prototypes involve refining as well as validation of
designs so that adequate product can be provided to the user. Basically, it is a sample for testing
the concept or process.
