Introduction
Shiba Veg is a famous vegetarian restaurant in the Chapel Street. Currently, the organization
is trying to implement the online booking and the payment system for the consumers. In order to
implement the online payment system for the restaurant certain concerns are needed to be taken
care of. Apart from that proper planning is needed to be done in order get the right outcome of the
implementation.
Section 1:
Contingency plan is the course or the action of the design that will help the organization to
prepare for the response to a future action. Sometimes contingency planning can be referred as plan
B [2]. This is the alternative that will help the organization to reach to the objective if the initial plan
has failed to reach to the right project outcome.
It has been seen that Shiba Veg restaurant is planning for the implementation of the online
payment system for the users. Initially Shiba Veg restaurant will go with the traditional
implementation method of the online payment system. In this case, the restaurant can adopted for
the POS system [6]. The main objective of the implementation of the online payment system is to
bring the flexibility of the business structure. Apart from that the organization has to maintain the
proper project management planning for the implementation of the overall system.
In case, if the online implementation of the payment system does not provide the proper
result after the implementation, the organization can adopted website where the ordering of the
foods can be accepted. The consumers pay their bill through the secured transaction gateway of the
organization.
Apart from that the company can go for the web based standalone system for the
development of the online payment system in the organization. It has been seen that there are
alternative methods for the urgent payment system. In this context, the advantage of the electronic
banking system can be applied.
With the implementation of the online payment system, security of the overall system
become a concerned topic. The POS system which is included in the initial plan can be secured
through the implementation of the proper encryption protocol. On the other hand, for making the
transaction through then website which is that part of contingency planning, is needed to be secured
through the application of the security gateway in the organization.

Apart from that the physical security of the POS system is needed to be improved in a
proper way. The system or the server can be maintained through the implementation of the
username and the password for the accessing the system. The access of the username and the
password is needed to be secured in a proper way.

Security Tools
There are three examples of the security equipment that can be recommended for the
implementation of the security in the system. The implementation of the security will indicate that
the system will be secured during the functioning of the operations. It has been seen that certain
security measures can be adopted for the implementation of the security in the organization. The
possible security measures are following-
Using the username and the password for the system: using the username and the password
for the system is a major security step that can be taken for protecting the data in the POS system. It
has to be assured by the management of this food company that the access of the POS system can
be done only after the right verification process [5]. Apart from that the servers connected between
the POS system and the banks will have to be secured in this case.
Keeping the device at safe position: The POS device is needed to be kept in a secured
position. Maintaining the physical security of the device will ensure that the device is not handled by
the unauthorized person.
Use of the secured gateway: While making the payment through the secured gateway in the
online portal of Shiba Restaurant, the user should be ensured that the payment gateway is safe and
secured. However, making the payment gateway secured from the company’s side can be done by
the restaurants [3]. Apart from that it is the responsibility of the respective bank to secure the
gateway from their side through the implementation of the right security protocols.
Use the right security measurement protocol for the website: The use of the right security
measure protocol for the website is important for the implementation of the security in the overall
system. There are different security protocols like Transport Layer Security, Secured Socket Layer
protocols [4]. It has been seen that the selection the right security protocol is done on the basis of
the implementation of the system that is needed to be implemented through online.
Keeping the transaction information safe and secure: The main objective of implementing
the online payment system is to manage the flexibility of the system. Apart from that maintenance
of the data and information is needed to be concerned during this implementation phase[1]. It is the

responsibility of the Shiba to implement the system that will help to keep the data regarding the
transaction safe and secured. It has been seen that the data regarding the transaction holds the
personal information of the consumers and the confidential information regarding the account of
the consumers. Breaching of these information will lead threats for the consumers as well
restaurants.

The policy name in this case is maintaining the secured online payment system at Shiba
Restaurant.
Policy statement
According to the policy, during the payment procedure, the data from the organization’s
side will be protected. Apart from that the user information is needed to be secured during the
course of the transaction. In order to do this certain security protocols are needed to be followed by
the organization.
Policy Objective
The objective of the project is to maintain the secured online payment from the consumers
that will help to enhance the flexibility of the overall system.
Standard
Certain security standard is maintained during the implementation of the project. Different
security protocols like SSL are implemented as the security measures.
Procedures
The implementation of the online payment system will follow the certain steps so that the
outcome of the process can fulfil all the requirements of the project. At the initial stage, the
gathering of the requirements can be in a proper way. The gathering of the requirements in a proper
way will eliminate the chances of the scope creep in the project. After the gathering of the
requirements, the planning and the design for the implementation of the online payment system is
initiated. It is the responsibility of the project manager to execute the project on the basis of the
designing and planning. After the execution, proper monitoring of the process is done so that the
performance of the implemented online payment system can be evaluated.

During the development of the online payment system, the presence of scope creep can
restrict the process of delivering the outcome in time and the overrun of the budget can occur. In
this case, the project manager has to develop the risk mitigation plan. Along with that the gathering
of the requirements is needed to be done in a proper way to avoid the scope creep in the project.
Conclusion
The discussion is regarding the implementation of the online payment system at Shiba Veg
Restaurant. It can be said from the above discussion that the implementation of the online payment
system will help this company to maintain the required flexibility. However, in order to implement
the system, certain measures are needed to be taken in a proper way. These are the security and
technical measures. If these concerns are implemented in a proper way, it can be said that the
implementation of the online payment system is successful.
