1. Poverty:- The poverty affect in number of ways in both emotional and physical
development of children. The poverty cause various impact on growth of a child. This
factor highly causes stress in between family members which impact on the health of a
child and their growth.
2. Education:- the setting of education can affect child's development. Although it stimulates
both development of child.
3. Family environment:- this highly affects emotional and psychological development of
children as they are connected to their family members most. The behavior from family

2. Describe a scenario that you have observed whilst working in an education and care service
where a conflict between children was resolved by an educator. Explain how this situation
might have been handled differently to encourage children to create their own solutions.

Case study 1
Topan is a very active three-year-old who tends to run rather than walk. On a particularly busy day,
Topan rushes from an art activity which he doesn’t seem to like, to the outdoor area for free play,
which he always seems to enjoy.
In his hurry, Topan bumps into Mikhael, who is finishing a drawing. This causes Mikhael to fall over
and to accidentally scrawl a big red line through the middle of his drawing. Mikhael bursts into tears
and Topan runs away.
As an educator, describe how you would:
a) structure the experiences provided on the day in a way that promotes cooperation and

As an educator, I experience various structure on that day which promotes cooperation and
conflict resolution. I recognise interest and values of children as Topan has high involvement and
interest in playing at outdoor area. He does not have interest in art activity. While Mikhael have
high enthusiasm in art activity. I experience different behaviour of children which need
cooperation differently. With respect to both Topan and Mikhael, cooperation and conflict
resolution can be promoted. This develops knowledge and understanding towards nature of
interest among both children from various conflicts can be resolved. The proper cooperation can
be provided according to their views and interest so that they both properly can engage in both
collaborative and individual learning process.
