Great Ormond Street Hospital (informally GOSH or Great Ormond Street, formerly the Hospital for
Sick Children) is a children's hospital located in the Bloomsbury area of the London Borough of
Camden, and a part of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.
The hospital is the largest centre for child heart surgery in the UK and one of the largest centres for heart
transplantation in the world. In 1962 they developed the first heart and lung bypass machine for children.
With children's book author Roald Dahl, they developed an improved shunt valve for children
with hydrocephalus, and non-invasive (percutaneous) heart valve replacements. They did the first UK
clinical trials of the rubella vaccine, and the first bone marrow transplant and gene therapy for severe
combined immunodeficiency.[1]

It is closely associated with University College London (UCL) and in partnership with the UCL Great
Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, which is adjacent to it, is the largest centre for research and
postgraduate teaching in children's health in Europe.
In 1929, J. M. Barrie donated the copyright to Peter Pan to the hospital.
As per my point of view, GOSH is largest and biggest hospital in London. They work in
efficient and effective manner in every terms such as managing patients, how to treat children and
many more. They need to adopt more latest and trendy techniques and ideas for better engagement
between doctor and children, so doctor can provide better treatment and services in their comfort
level.

Ormond street hospital is situated in England and they have facitlities and doctors for
children only. Hospital founded in 1852 in Bloomsbury in London. Initially they started their
hospital with only ten beds. But now provide their services in various location. Gosh is well known
hospital in treating children in very well manner.

 Overview of hospital with two select topics which are managing people in supply or
operations and managing quality.
 First and second topic corresponding concept. In first topic there are discussed about
managing people in supply and operations and as per situation company need to adopt
suitable theory that are customer relationship management and six sigma. So company take
some benefits in more growth. In second topic there is mentioned about managing quality
of goods & services and managing people for better performance rate. For this topic
company adopt appropriate theories which are assist in managing quality such as Total
quality management and Lean principle.
 Triple bottom line model, it is based on accounting structure and it consider major 3P which
states people, profit and planet. All these are essential part for generating profit of business.

As per topic of managing people in supply and operations company adopt two theories which
are play important part in success of organisation. Two theories are customer relationship
management and six sigma. Customer relationship management assist to company in raise insight in
to behaviour of consumer or change business operations to assure that users are served in the
effective path. Six sigma adopt for managing people for measure baseline or target procedure of
accuracy in order of sigma level. It is systemic way to measure and it is assist in managing people by
measure baseline and process of target. Through this supervisors can provide better direction to
employees and manage them accordingly.
House of quality is well known procedure for development of products that are inspired by
consumer desires for goods and procedure development. Also anchored by abilities or resource of
business seeking to reach needs. It play huge role in managing quality and provide better growth of
business.

should be used for either data collection of your selected organisation or finding
appropriate theories and successful examples that could be applied to the selected
organisation.
1. Technology, In current scenario business and its work totally based on technology. It provide
more advancement in business and success.
2. Financial resources, It play huge part in operating business with availability of resources. It
includes funds of business, financial institution and many more. Some how financial and capital are
similar, capital includes in only investment and financial resources are related to all monetary
process and things.
3. Capital, Capital means any assets of organisation that may utilize to finance its operations. It is
derived via equity and debt sources.
