Introduction
Management operation plays a very crucial role in an organisation. The
roles and duties of management of a company include planning,
organising, supervising and production. This report will discuss about
the roles and responsibilities of leaders and managers of Amazon.
Addition to this, this report will also help in understanding different
approaches that are adapted by leaders and mangers in different
situations that arises in the respective company.

role that leaders and managers play.
Six Sigma: Improving skills and productivity, observing and working
on statistics and being in discipline are the things when followed
overcome the errors and mistakes in production in Amazon. These were
firstly developed and followed by Motorola in 80s and based on their
quality management and base of management.

Lean Productivity/ Manufacturing -This method aims on deducting
the waste while production of goods and services at least level. Not
only Amazon uses it but also big companies like Nike, Toyota are using
it so that they could gain more profit by reducing the amount of waste
while production and services.

Keizen - It’s an initiative to reduce waste and increase its production
by eliminating and re-using the wastage. This is highly dependent on
continuous improvements that bring favourable changes in production
and manufacturing in Amazon while the management and Leaders
make sure that they bring effectiveness in production and distribution.

Importance and value of operations management in
achieving business objectives
Quality- Operation management helps in enhancing the quality of
products and services by introducing various strategies. Thus, it
further helps in managing long term relationship with the
customers by providing standard products and services.
Delivery management- Operation management helps in managing
the delivery services of the products to the customers. In order to
do it, the products are delivered at given delivery time frame.

company by analyzing the target customers and their needs and
wants. Thus, it helps in fulfilling the demands of the customers and
maximizing the sales of products of Amazon and its revenue.
Optimum utilization of resources- Operational management helps
in adequate utilization of the available resources of company such
as employees, finance, etc.

Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be analyzed that management and
operations are two important elements of a company. Also, the role of
manager and leader is different from each other, however, both plays a
major role in achieving the objectives of respective company.
Furthermore, there are various approaches and styles used by the
leaders to manage different situations that arise in an organization.
