Operations management can be defined as the area under management which is
mainly related to the process of design and controlling the different processes related to
production, redesign of the business operations and the finally the production of the services
or goods.

The three major functions of the business that are taken care by the operations
managers are, marketing, finance and operations. Operations is related to the timely
production of services and goods and thereby managing the inputs, which include, machine
time and the time of the workers as well. The major function of the finance department
includes the management of the assets, cash flows and the investments of the organization
that are related to the production of machines. The role of marketing involves the generation
of sales and thereby searching for customers (Sap-project.ca., 2018).

organization. Reengineering is the process of analysing the business processes and the

speed, lower costs and better quality as well. The environment has now become service
