Total quality management is a management approach which describes about the long
term success of the business on the basis of the customer satisfaction in order to enhance the
products, services, processes and the culture in which they work. Top quality management
express that a business is always required to work on the overall quality of the business in
order to improve the quality and the performance of the business. some of the elements which
helps the business the business to improve the total quality management of the business are as
follows:
In order to study on the tip top ice cream limited, it has been found that the key
element of the business is training, team work and leadership.
Training:
Training is crucial for the business as it enhances the effectiveness of the employees
and helps them to give their best in the business due to which the quality of the business
enhances. In case of tip top ice cream, it has been found that the management of the company
organizes the proper training programme for the employees on regular basis which helps
them to work efficiently and effectively which leads them to manage the quality of the
business (Nikham et al, 2011).

Team work is crucial for the business as all the employees have one common goal and
thus in the team, they give their best in the business due to which the quality of the business
enhances. In case of tip top ice cream, it has been found that the employees of the company
are told to work as a team which leads and helps the employees to manage the work and meet
the goal of the business effectively. The proper team work helps them to work efficiently and
effectively which leads them to manage the quality of the business.
Leadership:
Leadership is also crucial part of the business as it improves the overall performance
of the employees and motivates them to perform best in the business which enhances quality
of the business enhances. In case of tip top ice cream, it has been found that the leaders of the
company leads the team and all the employees in proper way which helps them to work
efficiently and effectively to manage the quality of the business.
Further, the study concludes that the total quality management and the continuous
improvement in the performance of the business are quite impressive. The business is
maintaining the business and the performance at better level to reduce the cost and enhance
the effectiveness of the business.

Supply chain is crucial part of the business which sets the channel among the
elements of the business to enhance the overall performance the logistic of the business. It is
a system which manages the activities, people, information, resources etc in order to move
the services and products from the supplier to the customers. The supply chain model of tip

The main elements of the supply chain of the business are raw material, manufacturing
and retailing the ice creams and other products. The explanation of each of the element is as
follows:
Raw material:
Raw material is the most common element of the manufacturing process of the
company. The company takes the raw material from the nearest suppliers to reduce the waste
and the transportation cost of the business. In case of tip top ice cream, it has been measured
that the company is taking the raw material from the largest supplier of the new Zealand
which assist the company to get the material on right time and the best quality is received by
the company.
Manufacture:
After getting the raw material, it is processed into the finished product. The process of
transferring the raw material into finished goods is known as manufacturing process. In case
of tip top ice cream, it has been measured that the company is using the great technology to
manufacture the ice cream. The manufacturing plant of the company is quite efficient.
Retailer:
Lastly, the main part of the supply chain management of the business is to deliver the
best quality product to the retailer of the business so that they could offer it to the consumers

(Stoppato, 2012). The company uses its own transportation vehicles to deliver the product to
the retailers in perfect way.
On the basis of the study, it has been measured that the supply chain management and
policies and controls of the business are quite better. The company has prepared the strategies
and policies on the basis of the nature of the business. The business is maintaining the
activities and the performance at better level to manage the supply chain process in the
market.
Inventory:
Inventory is the total stock available to the company for the future sales and the
process of manufacturing. Control over the inventory of the company is crucial. It includes
the process of controlling the inventory from warehouse to the point of sales. The main factor
of the inventory management is to maintain a brief record of all the products which enters
into the warehouse and leaves. The main functions of the inventory includes below functions:
Supply and demand:
Supply and demand are the main part of the inventory control system. It explains that
the company should supply the products on the basis of the demand. Extra delivery or lower
delivery could lead to the business towards the loss. The tip top ice cream also follows the
same rule. Company produces and delivers the ice cream and the ice blocks in the market on
the basis of the supply. Extra production could lead to the company towards the losses
(Nojima, 2008).
Finished goods and component availability:
Further, it has been found that each business is required to manage some inventory as
finished product so that the sudden demand could be met at any time. In case of tip top ice
cream, it has been measured that extra finished products could offer the losses to the
company due to the fact that the goods and the products of the company are of perishable
nature. Without the further care and the prevention, the products could be convert into the
wastage at any time.
And thus the tip top ice cream limited manages the small inventory as finished goods
in the warehouse to meet the sudden demand otherwise the production of the products of the
company is always done by the company on the basis of the market demand and the season.

controls of the business are quite impressive. The business is maintaining the business and
the performance at better level to reduce the cost and enhance the effectiveness of the
