INTRODUCTION
Operation management is concerned with management functions such as planning,
supervising and organising. The main objective of organisation function is to perform business
practice with the purpose of higher level of efficiency (Telci and Aral, 2018). It is very important
for administration that they should manage their overall operations in such a way that they attain
organisations' objectives and goals efficiently and effectively. It is mostly concerned with
conversion of raw materials into finished goods. Human resources should perform their duties so
that company utilise their resources efficiently and effectively. In this context, Nissan Motor
Manufacturing UK Limited is undertaken to identify the key elements. Nissan Motor is the
largest manufacturer of car in UK.

Key elements of organisation
Operation management system plays an important role in success and growth of
company. It is the stage in which organisation try to manage their all duties and functions in such
a manner that they will not contradict and run with smoothness (Blume and et. al., 2020). It is
very important for organisation that they arrange their functions in a systematic manner that
cannot create any confusion in minds of employees. When company make their operation system
effective then their employees get motivated and encouraged towards goals and objectives.
Organisation should perform those activities that create and develop innovative ideas in
employee’s mind. Better management system boost proficiency in working system. There is a
case study of Nissan Motor that shows their leadership style, operations, design, process and
continuous flow of production method, etc. In the case study of Nissan Motor, it is find out that
organisation did their business very well because of their key elements. Important key elements
increase their capacity and productivity such as TQM system, Just-in-time technology, design,
strategy, etc. For understanding these key elements, it is necessary to explain these topics in
detail. The detail of key elements is mentioned below:
Total quality Management: It is analysed that Nissan knows that their quality is the key
element to attract customers (Zhang and Shu). Nissan focuses on their products that should be
superior for growing their business. TQM is the main feature that Nissan always try to give their

al efforts for them. TQM is the key element of Nissan Motor that they focus on satisfaction of
customers. It is necessary for their success and growth. It is identified in a research that
organisation which focuses on their quality of product grow more and get a success. It is the
ongoing process in which company perform mainly four functions such as plan, do, check and
action. This cycle cannot stop, it is pervasive in nature that it applies in all situations.
Just-In-Time Technology: It is very obvious that manufacturing a car is not a man-made
procedure, it depends on machines. So the success and growth of Nissan Motors depends on their
mechanisms of machines. Each and every part of car is manufactured and designed by automated
machines. Machines reduce the complexity of work in Nissan (Boukari and Auriol, 2019).
Design: Most attractive part of Nissan is their design that become one more key element.
They manufacture their cars with best design. It is identified that Nissan adopt diesel cars so that
it helps to reduce cost. Nissan is one of the companies that provide an exclusive range of diesel
car engines such as Almera Tino, Almera, Primera, and Micra (Piaia and et. al., 2020). It became
the reason of attraction in which organisation modify their designs and improve them. It helps in
attracting customers so that they can increase sales revenue.
Strategy: Strategy is a very important component that should always kept in mind of
managers. Top management of organisation make all policies and strategies. Strategy are always
pre planned so that employees prepared themselves to work accordingly. It is a roadmap in
which all activities are arranged in a systematic manner. It should be give clear guidelines so that
everyone can understand their roles and responsibilities. Nissan motor adopt cost leadership as
their strategy that become the most important key element for organisation. It is analysed from
the case study of Nissan Motors that their main objective is to produce and sell car at low prices.
It is analysed that there are many companies that focuses on their prices of products. The main
thing that matters for organisation is that they can produce or manufactures their car at low price
so that their profit margin increases as well as increase in number of customers.
Operation process: Nissan set their targets in which they include their operation process
so that they can take competitive advantage in market place. In present time, Nissan
manufacturing capacity is approximate 500000 per year. It is very big number but they are trying
to expand their manufacturing process more so that they can produce more cars. Operation
process is essential for organisation in which they transform their raw material into finished

try their best to improve operation management system. They focus on their functions and
activities so that they can get maximum efficiency in operations. This step is necessary for each
and every company if they want to grow their business at global level and get success. It is
beneficial for each and every organisation that they improve their operation management system.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is concluded that companies should focus on their operation
management system so that they can maximise their profit goals. It is analysed that organisation
should improve their system. So that their weaknesses transform in their key elements. It helps in
increasing of productivity and profitability. There are many key element that can be improve in
such a way that organisation get more success in future. Those key elements may be operation
process, strategy, etc. They all are very important if organisation supposed to lead the market.
